I spend multiple hours setting up a map, twice now, and SAVE IT! Then as i test out the spawns and such to make sure the map works well when played, it does, so i save my gametype. So i get bored at time and decided to layout a new map on FORGE WORLD (not my other map) and i end up saving that map under a completely different name, but same description (simply says "wip") and the next time i go to play on my finished map, the map contents have been revereted to an earlier save, basically undoing hours of work This has happened to me twice now, my map keeps undoing itself, one time, everything was deleted, second time, my map basically reverted back to an earlier save? any1 tell me why it does this so my maps i spend 6+ hours on stop getting deleted.
I can't tell you why it does that, but perhaps saving your map as a new map whenever you make a large change could help prevent these issues. Or you can do what paranoid ol' me does and save your map three or four times before quitting.
Are you actually reloading the map from your files? The game loads a cached version of the last map you played on, and that cached version won't always be your most recent save. Go into your files and reload your map and I guarantee you it will be the one you saved.
Ya i had this happen a couple of times so now i just do like Angel here and save like 3 times and it doesn't do it.
I think Skorpius is correct, I've loaded a map only to find an earlier version of it, very annoying. What seems to work for me is changing to a different map entirely, then revert back to the map I want, that seems to force a reload of the latest version of the map.
the game has an autosave function you quit. Simply go into the map list and select the map again and you will have your saved version again. It may seem annoying but it has the potential to save you alot of work if you accidently quit or something
