So, Im brand new to this forum, and I have a couple questions. Im working on a seige type map, basically 1 flag CTF. There is a small outpost for attackers and a large base for defenders. I cant get a flag to spawn and Im a little confused. I played around with labels and such, but couldnt get anything to work. Is there a way to set the flag stand and the flag return to attackers and defenders?? I play tested the map with a few friends, and I am also having the same problem with the spawn points. How can I designate things as an attacker spawn point or a defender spawn point? Is there a way to set part of the map as attacker side and defender side? Thanks for any help you can give me. The map is going to be for a tribes type gameplay. If you wanna check it out, its up on my file share, my gamertag is the same name I have here.

Start forge on a CTF variant, go to the flag stand and set the label to CTF_flag or CTF_flag_spawn or something like that.
As for respawn points just change them to blue or red team.

ok, i have made a ctf map. the defenders (red) must have designated red spawns. to place the defenders flag, place a flag holder ( under objectives ) and set it to red team and set it to CTF_FLAG_RETURN. do the same for blue team ( except using a capture plate would be better for attackers ) if you forge this in one flag ctf forge, the game will spawn one flag at the return points ( the defenders return point )

I think I asked the wrong question. The map is kinda set up like last stand ( I think the name was) from halo 3, so one side of the map is set up for attacking and one side for defending. Is there any way to make it so its not team specific? So the attackers will always be going from the outpost to the main base. I want it so the teams take turns, but move their starting points whether its the blue team or the red team attacking. Im having a hard time explaining it. Do you see what I mean?

I understand what you mean, you want attackers to spawn in the same place, no matter what team is attacking, sadly, I have not played forge enough to answer this question, but I can clarify for others.

He wants attackers to spawn in the attacker location no matter which team is attacking, and he wants the defenders to spawn in the defender spot no matter what team is defending, right?

Well, it seems like it isnt really possible at the moment because Ive seen a lot of people with the same question and no one has an answer.

I've figured out a solution. Start a map and use 'one flag CTF' have your spawn points setup where you want them. one side red, the other blue. Instead of having the capture plate for redteam where red team spawns, switch this. blue teams capture plate where red base is, vice versa. the same with the flag stand spawns. also, be sure to set your game type labels for the flag stand / capture plate to 'CTF_FLAG_RETURN'.

I believe this is what your looking to do? Take your flag and pin it in the enemys base?

I actually think it switches automatically.

    This.

Set it up as CTF 1 Flag and the attackers and defenders should swap each round - I think it's a function of the gametype, not the map.

It should be easy enough to test in a Custom.

it switches by it self, so when the first round is over, round 2 will swap the spawns for red and blue team. Even the buildings that you have colored red or blue will also swap
