Lockdown is a cleverly named homage to one of my favorite maps, Lockout. It's got 3 levels and mancannons to shoot you all around the map. Right now it's only set up for Slayer but I'll update it with other gametypes if people actually like it. It looks good but I don't see any weapons on pics (or is that one thing in the last picture some weapon?) and you haven't posted weapons on map in the description? IMO you should ad some more cover and places to "hide" since it looks kinda straight forward and it would seem too easy to snipe/SWAT headshot one from across the map.. I will DL this and try it out to see for sure.
Try it and let me know what you think about the cover. I added some more after my last 4v4 play test though.
This looks very open, and frankly like a catwalk fest. You list a grenade launcher, Concussion rifle, and shotgun, but i can guarantee that the most used weapons on this map will be sniper, dmr and needler. I just don't see any particularly interesting landmarks or structures about this map.. My only other gripe is the lower level only having one ramp down, and 2 gravity lifts shooting back up, it's like a means of motivating the player to camp if he doesn't wanna go higher, if anything that would be the prime location for a power weapon, but it does disrupt whatever flow the map would have that leads one down there.
The lower level is actually only accessible through jumps (or the mancannon pictured) unless you spawn there. You can access it from the shotgun bridge and multiple points from the top level.
Yep.. now that I have seen it forge I have to say that Sniper Rifle spawn point is little bad as you can see the entire map from there.. though there are those 5 fusion coils there but that doesn't still change the situation (atleast to better) so much as you could throw grenade there before you go there, shoot them yourself or just simply knockthem over so no one could shoot them expect some other players in the tower or long distance grenade throw. IMO you should delete those coils and change the sniper spawn so that it's not so close to the tower so it would be harder to get there in the first place. And the Man Cannon is in little bad place there since if someone would be snipe camping there and other player would be coming and try to kill him.. sniper could just hop in to man cannon when he realizes that someone is coming for him and snipe the enemy from the otherside. But these are just my opinions and just trying give creative critic
