Hey guys, at my colloege they are playing a game called Humans vs. Zombies (link:Humans vs. Zombies ) and I was wondering if you guys had any advice for me to survive/ stories of your own zombie experiences you may have had (real zombies or games, I don't care which.)
Oh dude that looks so sick, I prefer Airsofting though... Not nerf. But the videos made it look so real, haha. Ok first, TeamWork Is Key, Second have a big ass gun, third check EVERY CORNER, Even little ones. Oh you should watch zombieLand as they have rules to survive .

I'm not sure about teamwork. It'd be good for a real zombie invasion but here if they get tagged they know my habits... And I think zombying (?spelling?) would be more about, well getting in peoples heads and eating their brains to find out what they are thinking so you can ambush them. Or yes forming a mob and running after them like those cannibals in pirates of the carribean or to Code: bust into places like a badass and rape humans .
i am actually involved in this at my brother's dorm. it seems pretty popular at Towson University. if you are looking for advice as for guns, may i suggest dual magnum 6-shooter revolvers. if you are more interested in larger weapons i would avoid using the popular double barrel shotgun, for it is a little too bulky and hard to reload. as for the vulcan turret, it is versatile and effective. the nerf recon i would consider to be a small arms weapon (though listed as a rifle), is not as fast for reloading but as for range and accuracy, is generally effective. as far as strategies go, staying among groups of people works well but if you plan on fighting by yourself, i suggest not only knowing your surroundings but also checking them at all times. double barrel shotgun: nerf recon: nerf vulcan: nerf magnum:
I thought about the duel mags but I think they are pump so it would be to awkward (I could be wrong though). The thing I've found is that a Walgreens near the campus is having a sale on toys, like 2 packs of those foam disc shooters with extra discs. They're a bit big to carry 2 with me at all times but one should be good for day-to-day walking around being semi-automatic and having a 40+ round clip.
Dang it, out on the first day. The Original Zombie is allowed to pretend to be a human for a certain time. He had to reveal himself at 1:15, he got me at 1:13. I suppose it's for the best as my whole dorm is infected so I wouldn't have lasted long anyways. I hope we do it next semester because I feel somewhat cheated that the Original is here.
I can definitely vouch for the magnum, as I own one myself. Simple, effective, and fun to use. I would go for that if you can master gathering and loading on the go.
Agreed. I have two of those magnums. One broke pretty quickly but the other still shoots pretty well. I've had it for two years now.
I'm not a fan of them myself. I was supposed to win but a magnum got me screwed over. I got most kills as a zombie, but a guy had his friend give him a few so he was ahead, but after getting one in the final we tied an it came up to a duel. We had one shot each and then we had to pick up our darts and throw them. He shot his and missed and I got right up next to him but my magnum jammed so he was able to duck under it. Other shenanigans ensued and in short I lost. And I've heard a lot of stories about them jamming. I've also said to the others that Halo may be a good way to simulate a mission in controlable conditions so if anyone would like to try their hand at making my college or making game suggestions to make it more like this game please go for it.
