Ok, so I've been working on an infection map for the last few days and I'm coming toward the finishing point. I decided that I would sort out the spawn points before I began closing off the end of the map, but then I realized the way you do that is different from Halo 3. You can't just change the gametype to a certain one whilst in forge now, can you? Well if there is I must've missed it. I then thought that you might have to open your map from the forge menu, but instead of using 'Basic Edit' you change it to the gametype you want it to be on. But when I did this and placed down the spawn point, the team options didn't show any attacking or defending options for the survivor and infected, but only Neutral and then the range of team colors. Can some one please explain to me how to set up my map and spawns for the infection gametype. Knowing me, I've probably just been an absolute moron and missed something...
Noobs dont read: http://www.forgehub.com/forum/halo-reach-forge-discussion/105195-required-forge-objects-guide.html althougth I agree that thread needs a name change.
I looked over that, but I've not even got to the gametype incompatibility thing yet. I'm kind of confused with how you set up spawn points. In infection, when I put spawns down, how do I designate an attacking team and a defending team? Or rather an infected spawn and the survivors spawn? Because the team options only have team colors and neutral.
Hit me up later after 7pm PST. I'd be glad to help. Check out this guide for help: Bungie.net : Halo: Reach Forum : Forge Required Objects Guide
Double posting the guides notwithstanding, that's an easy enough question to answer. In infection, blue team corresponds with infected and red corresponds with survivors. Set them up as you would any other game. I would also recommend taking the above poster up on his offer. This is the kind of thing that is immensely helpful to have a more experienced forger's personal assistance with.
