One thing I hate about all guardian remakes is frame rate. This is actually better than some of the other releases when it comes to frame rate but it still suffers especially when viewing from green. It really is a asthetically appealing map its a shame the engine cant handle it. : /
Good looking map! Best remake ive seen so far. But u need to fix the lift at gold cuz the current grav lifts dont boost you up enough. And u might wanna add a soft kill zone ;p
Well done. Guardian was one of the best maps in halo 3 and it's nice to see it return. A few things you might want to look into for V2 would be: Lights. Try making the yellow room and the blue area blue. Fine details/tricks: Remember how you could jump onto certain doorways? Try making sure things like those are preserved. Plasma batteries: Your sniper tower, amongst other places, are missing them. Decorations over the main platform: People can jetpack up to them. I'd recommend adding a grid or something to prevent it. ______________ All of these things are just nitpicks, but If you make a v2 and you have enough cash/items, please consider these ideas.
Wow, this looks like a very very accurate remake of Guardian. That's not an easy task so great job on that! I can't wait to play on this to bring back my memories of the good ole Guardian! good job
Thats a good map, you should try to make it fully MLG Standard Playable. Some Jumps are working some aren't check out this remake, maybe you get some ideas for v2: MLG Guardian Remake by De Behr
Great looking and playing map. I wont mention the frame rate any more than once, and I was able to knock down some of the rocks on snipe to alleviate a good deal of it. Ill tell you one thing, I wont need to DL any other guardians because this one is 100% legit.
Yesterday I played a 1v1 on here and it was pretty good. The only problems are the gold lift and the sometimes the frame rate does take a hit at times. The grav lifts at gold need to lift you higher.
I'm glad you decided to post this here. i saw it while lurking over at the MLG forums and have had it on my HD for a while now. Best Guardian remake I've seen yet. You really did a great job with this.
