Welcome to the Combat Simulator. You are currently assigned to Combat Simulator Facility [2.032]. Today's tests are [SLAYER, TEAM SLAYER]. These tests are for research purposes and can not cause damage to you in anyway, good luck. Hey forgehub, heres my first map on Halo Reach. It's a slayer/team slayer map made for fast gameplay, and oh how it delivers. The map is split into two separate sides and inspired by avalanche and standoff. My favorite and the favorite of others part of this map is the illusion it gives of being out side, but really you're inside. It is completely inclosed and is impossible to escape. Also you really don't know that you're on the island. Really there isn't much to explain about this map so ill give you the pictures. Overviews (some pictures are without a roof.) Blue base Red base Back cave Out side exit of cave Inside of cave exit. Middle divider Action
This map was awesome to test it was so fun, the jet packs were used the most but air combat was fun as all hell. All of the spawns worked perfectly and it was a pleasure to test with you, my favorite part of the map is the middle up the top how it is divided that was sweet. The team slayer game was awesome i dominated that game, but we still did lose the game by quite a bit. You have a heap of pictures but none of me
I had lots of fun testing this map out. I love how when you start the map, you don't even know where you are in forge world. And how this is a military sim, so it's inside but gives the feeling of being outside, was really great, I love the aesthetics in this map and the rock path way. Overall this map was great and reminded me of the wildlife reserve in odst or whatever its called.
Had real fun testing. One of the best Reach maps so far. It's a pity that you had all of that budget and nothing left to do with it. You really need to make this support CTF and KotH. Also, did you put death barriers behind the cave thing? I remember it being easy to escape by jet pack. Nevertheless, good job.
Very fun dude, and the people that havent tested it before might think it looks ugly, but trust me, this was a blast. Weapons were placed wisely and this is the best slayer map by far *cough, other reach maps suck*. Awesome map Hat. This is how slayer maps should be like. EDIT: I just noticed im the white freak with recon in the two pictures with people, im in front of the rock on the first one, and on the second one im the one who was getting pwned -.-
Awhhh no ingame pictures of me? haha. oh well! this was equally as amazing in the visual side of things compared to how amazing the gameplay was, even in the very early stages of the map everything was perfectly balanced and fit in perfectly with all of the upgrades placed into halo reach (area for jetpack) can wait to play on this map with you more soon! oh and the small block in the picture of the cave is a little crooked if you didnt know
This map is different than most other maps I've seen posted. It's a really weird combination where you feel like you're walking around outside, but you're actually inside. The combination works very well for some reason. It does feel like Blue base was worked on more than Red base, but it doesn't affect gameplay. The layout is thought out, and a lot of the aesthetics look really cool (the rock structure).
Originally this was supposed to be a small free for all map, starting there, but it grew until it became this.
This map is fun to play, but to have only jetpacks dulled my experience, I would of enjoyed it more if we were able to pick our own classes, I can't play to my fullest extent unless I have sprint or evade as an AA, still a good map and game.
Nice map. I can tell by the pictures that this is sweet. where do people get the ideas for all these maps, I'm still stuck remaking Halo 3's Vortex (which is going well.)
