Theres Lt. Colonel, grades 1,2 and 3. But theres no Colonel. One of helmets says I have to be colonel rank until I can buy this. Which brings up another question. Bungie put a price of 130,000 Cr on the Halo:CE Helmet. But not only that you have to be Lt. Colonel to get it. What the F**K? The has been no word on Double EXP lately and I'm starting to think that Bungie doesn't work well with Credits. 2,000,000 for Inclement Weather okay that time your asking people to mod the game. I can't really flame because I a huge Halo Fan. I got the Halo:Reach Legendary Edition, Limited Edition Control-Xbox-Headset, Halo 3 Legendary Edition, Halo 3:ODST Limited Edition Controller, Halo 3 Action Figures, Halo:CE, Halo 2 Special Edition (Multiplayer Map Packs) and even those Halo 3 Bobble-Head toys. I just don't like the idea of credits. 700-900 per game isn't good enough. I want like 1000-1400 each game, that why people can rank up a little bit faster, buy the stuff they want. 2,000,000 for a stupid armor effect isn't worth it. Flames, Grunt Birthday Party and Pestilence are the best ones. I've always want to look like I smell bad in multiplayer. thats just awesome.

Agree. Completely agree. The prices in the Armory aren't tought out well. I mean 40.000 Cr for that small ammo pocket on your thigh compared to a 2000 Cr ODST helmet. Bungie WTF?!

So, the game hasn't been out for a month and people are already well beyond 600k in money. In a few months time people will have the millions needed for the armour effects, as well as anything else they could want.

I have some stuff that requires a rank HIGHER than colonel (commander, for that matter) so its kind of obvious they'll add more at a later date.

Its also worth mentioning that if someone were to mod the game then go online, their entire credit set would be reset... making modding pointless.

Its also worth mentioning that heart attack is awesome ;)

I will agree that some of the credit numbers are a bit extreme but for the most part, they're reasonable. Some of those items are "status symbols." They're meant to only be for those who play a lot.

The game has been out barely 2 weeks. You aren't going to get everything in a month. Hell, I'd be a bit peeved if you did. It gives you something to strive for even after months of playing.

    700 cR a game, 5 minute game.
    6 games = 4200 cR, 30 mins play time.
so, if you play for a little over an hour, that's 8,000 creds. 125 hours of play time, incliment weather. if you play for 3 days a week at 2 hours a day, that's 20 days of 2 hours. this doesn't factor in challenges, commendations, slot machine.

I heard that there will be an update that will give people new armor and to put new ranks into the game.

First off, the people saying "this is unfair" are really just incredibly impatient. It would be stupid if everyone had all of the armor immediately after launch...

Second, there will be a playlist update for the game in October. Campaign matchmaking will be available, tweaks will be made and perhaps double cR will come.

So really, be patient and stop complaining about how you want more credits...

    I want... I want... I want...

How different is it trying to afford a Porsche or a house when you're working at Burger King? You can do it if you save up over time.

What are you, 5 years old? If you want 1400 cR/game, then learn how to get them by playing. Put in the time and effort. All you need to do is look at the daily challenges and commendations and look at the ones you have that are low ranking ( iron and bronze ). Also get multi-kills and sprees... they help out with awards, which also help a little with your cR/game.

When you stop living at home with your parents, you're gonna see that buying from the armory is no different than buying generic or name brand merchandise.

I like how everything is really expensive. when you get it (Legitimately) it's a sense of accomplishment. I really want to get the GUNGNIR helmet, as well as the Haunted variant of the Pilot, both of which are VERY expensive(For Haunted you need to buy EVERY helmet possible), but when I get them, I'll feel satisfied from a job well done.
And another thing, it's not like credits make a huge impact. They either make you look like a noob, or make you look like you walked across a shag carpet with bunny slippers on. You don't get anything from ranking up, so it's not a huge deal.

I must say, it is getting to a completely ridiculous point. I hate getting those 500cR per game, it is driving me to the limit. Double exp would be better. All they have to do is add on to the certain amount of points you get per kill. Beat down 4cR-8cR, Headshot 11cR-22cR. Simple right. BTW, Loscocco does have a point. We just want the advancements so badly, it is taking longer then you want it to be. Just save up your credits and wait. But I really didn't know it would take this long, I am almost captain. It has taking a long time to get where I am. But I have had heard rumors about it not taking as long to rank up until major. So I can't wait to hit Captain.

Its not that hard, I easily get around 800 credits a game, when im not playing like crap. Its good that it will take a while to get all the armor, or it would just be pointless to have it. The only thing I'm pissed about is all the ways to cheat your way to huge amounts of credits. I've seen one guy who was Lt. Colonel, and I looked him up on Bnet, cuz he was horrible, and he had a .56 KDR. I looked at his campaign stats, he had like 200 killionares, with the target designator, its a real cheap way to get credits, even cheaper than gruntpocolapse. I believe that credits should only be earned from matchmaking (either firefight or multiplayer) Because there are too many easy ways in other modes.

Wow. I can't believe how unbelievably babyish some people are acting about this. This is a GOOD thing. You really want every person you run across to have an armor affect? That would be awful. Just be patient you whiny little wimps.

they said they put the level cap in because the hardcore players will reach it fairly quickly and they want to give everyone else time to catch up before they remove the cap. i dont really see the point, but it doesnt bother me either. its just like whatevs, do watcha gotta do bungie.

Actually you can flame because you bought the legendary edition.

    Cwutididthere

There is a reason for the daily credit cap, and if you haven't noticed, many people have been credit banned for using scripted codes (high tech rubber bands).

Who cares it's just some gawdamm armor that doesn't affect gameplay at all. Same with rank, it's not a big deal. Don't you want this game to have some replayability?

I'm a Warrant Officer, and I really couldn't care less about my rank. We'll all become Colonels eventually, so what's the rush? I mean, your ***** doesn't get bigger by being the first Colonel.

I think it actually gets smaller... o_O

Anyway, people that are already Lt. Colonel have no lives, IMO. Calm down and wait for the rest of the community to catch up with you.

Im surprised at how many credits I got for playing Invasion slayer one time. I wasn't even playing, so I had 0 kills, but I still got 600 credits. Anyways, I know an adult friend who already is a Lt. Colonel, but he has his sons do his dirty work. When he isn't on, he makes his sons play matchmaking to get credits or else they are banned from the Xbox for a week.

I mostly spammed up to lt colonel in the first couple of weeks because I started uni sunday, and wanted to get there beforehand. I still need to get up to the final grade, though that won't take too long even WITH all my coursework.

I'm glad it takes a while to get a lot of stuff, if everyone bought everything in the first month they'd be complaining there isn't enough to do, and then credits would be pointless entirely.
