    I am making a game in which I would like one team to gain points based on how long they are alive. So the longer you live, the more points you get. I would like this to apply to the "Blue" team only. Does anyone know how to do this? I thought of using a "hill" (that belongs to the blue team) that covers the entire map so that the blue team would get points but not the red team. This would normally work except I want the blue team to run faster and jump higher than the Red team. Does anyone know a way to do this? If I am making no sense, please let me know and I'll try to clear things up a little bit.

    This gametype seems a little wierd to me, you're giving the stronger team points for surviving to a inferrior opponent? How exactly would the red team gain points then? To make it winnable.

    You'd be better off with territories, I think, for one sided games like that. Or perhaps invasion. Territories could give you a wider point scale, but invasion would make blue team elites, giving them bonuses to speed and jump.

    Then there is infection. You could use the safe haven mechanic to replicate a hill effect, and you'd be able to give the two teams separate traits, but the point mechanic would be compromised. Bonus points for kills from inside the safe haven, bonus points for the last one alive, and bonus points for survivors winning is about it.

    @FlamingArmadillo

    I would assume by lasting longer when they have their turn as the survivors.

    Also, he said nothing about damage and damage resistance. Or lives. Or weaponry. Hence, I would hesitate to criticize his gametype just yet.

    Thanks for the ideas. I am trying to make a "Hunting" map. The Blue team would be the "Deer" and the Red team would be the hunters. I want the hunters to have sniper rifles and pistols and the Deer to just have a sword or some other close combat weapon. Naturally the "Deer" can run faster and jump higher than humans can so that's why I want to give that team those traits and not the "Human" team. I wanted the deer to get more points for staying alive longer and the Humans would get big points for killing a Deer; but maybe I'll have to make it so they just get a bunch of points for killing the humans inside a safe haven.

    Well in that case you won't need a safe haven, because its the whole map, just give special traits to the zombies

    I didn't suggest this yet because I didn't know the gameplay, but have you considered separating the hunters from the playing field? This would make it quite easy to have a "KotH" or "territories" gametype. Hunters (red team) spawn in an area where they cannot enter the forest, but perhaps have a walkway around the perimeter. Deer (blue) spawn in the middle, in the hill.

    That would work fine for giving each team different traits but it wouldn't help with the way I would like the scoring to be.
    That might be what I have to do. I would rather have the hunters actually be in the "forest/rocks" with the deer but maybe that's going to be too much to ask? It looks like I might have to give up the timed scoring idea or the hunters in the forest idea.
