DOWNLOAD LINKS TO ALL 3 MAPS ARE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok! I am the only person ever on halo reach to recreate Halo 1 and 2's Battle (Beaver) Creek AND post them here on ForgeHub! There are 3 maps: Battle Creek [Halo 1], Beaver Creek [Halo 2], and a custom map I made: Bloody Creek [Halo Reach] Each are remakes and are as close as possible to them. NOTE: bungies "amount of blocks" forced me to remove the floor of one basement (replaced by grass) and some parts of the main buildings. I have pictures and i have a video showing the transitions of the maps but i have to wait for the video to upload so when it does all add it in. YES HALO 1 AND 2 MAPS ARE THE SAME BUT ALL WEAPONS ARE CHANGED TO HALO 2. If you would like me to create gametypes so that they match Halo 1 and 2 settings please say because I will be happy to do it. Pictures: Whole Map: A look at Red Base (Battle Creek [halo 1] Blue Base: The Center Rock: Blue Base Teleporter side: Red Base Teleporterand yes, there is a health pack instead of an overshield because that is how it really is in Halo 1. \ The Creek: Inside of Red Base: (the other side doesn't have a floor because bungie wouldn't let me have more pieces, so it is just grass. Side of Red Base: (blue is same here except there is a rock on the side not a wall [because that is what it is in halo 1]) HALO 2: Beaver Creek [Halo 2] This map is the same as Battle Creek [halo 1], but has suddle differences: The color sides have been swapped, weapons have been swapped, the active camo in the water is now an overshield, and there is no health pack and overshield at the teleporters. Weapon Change: AR to DMR: Change: AC to OV: Change: Base color swap and this is just a view from the top of the rock. Finally, theres Bloody Creek: a halo reach version of beaver/battle creek. It has the base setup of Battle Creek but has a few changes: Shotgun to Plasma Launcher, Turrets on the top of bases, needlers to needle rifle, and plasma rifle to plasma repeater. To be honest, some areas look like you put no effort into. There is so much water and you use shield doors, that is soooooooo Halo 3. The grid just looks crappy, and so does the rocks. This really needs a v2.
The problem with Beaver Creeks water is obvious, you can't have water in the river, but not in the underground bases because they are lower than the river, shield doors are the only way to create 'water' unless you want your players to drown in the bases.
There are ways around that. You could make the ground slope down towards the creek then when it reaches the creek make it deeper. You could raise the bases and have ramps into the bases.
Theres 4 things I know: 1. I was forced to use grids because I ran out of "doors and windows" so i couldn't make a real wall. 2. I also couldn't make a floor to the basement of red side because i ran out of "doors and windows". 3. I had to use shield doors because I didn't want to make an estimate on the size and the pocket was a perfect space and size for it. And anyway, why must it matter if halo 3 material is in reach? 4. Im guessing the only rocks your talking about is the center rock and the side rocks, but the rocks in the main part of the map are in their real positions.
1+2. You could use blocks and platforms, there are more than just walls. 3. It's not that it was in Halo 3, it's that there wasn't water in sandbox. Now there is water and you use shield doors. 4. The rocks in the middle look so unnatural and weird.
well I did also run out of blocks. but platforms?? Hmmm. True 3, but 4 idk why i was never able to make the rocks look right.. I do need to try to fix that.
