Halo:Reach may have a easter egg for Forgehub. If you spawn a warthog and look at the front. Theres a small box with FH. It could be an easter egg. I just noticed this today, so I don't know if anyone has already found this. FH looks like ForgeHub to me. If someone could post a picture that would be great.
It obviously means Flying Hippos! FH could mean anything, and I think they would put it on a more forge specific object, such as the monitor. Coincidink IMO.
As said in the thread started here about that, the communities etc. that appeared in Halsey's lab were old school Halo fan stuff, generally having been around since the Halo CE days. FH only started with H3, so I think it's pretty unfair to expect us to be put in there, even others who have been around a lot longer than us weren't in there.
Still, ForgeHub is one of the biggest Halo related communities, biggest if you don't count Bungie.net or Halo.wikia.com. We should still get a little shout out, or even a nameplate of a forgemoniter for those of us that have been here for a while. Might help attract some more attention to FH too.
HBO are way bigger and more established than us, we're big but not that big in the great scheme of things. MLG too, whilst not solely Halo based, made their name with Halo CE (again, around a lot longer than us) and continue to hold it as their flagship title. Entitlement isn't what this is about at all, there's no 'should' about this stuff, and the idea of a nameplate is just over the top. NO community got that, all the nameplates are about past Bungie titles and stuff directly to do with Halo games etc. Don't act like Bungie owe us anything, least of all special treatment like that. It's a cool little easter egg about the earliest history of Halo communities, of which we were in no way a part We're already affiliates which is a massive help in that sense, and it's not even in their interests really, why should they worry about us attracting more attention? Sorry, but this all sounds a little wah-wah to me. Why can't people just see it and think 'Huh, cool easter egg,' without immediately questioning why they didn't get one?
Somebody's birthday: There's some free cake. Normal person: Hey! Cool! Thanks! Forgehub member: Why doesn't my cake have sprinkles? See also: Thread about why isn't Forge World bigger?
