    Well Endowed

Well Endowed is an asymmetrical map, designed mainly for slayer gametypes but supporting most others as well. I really tried to create a map that not only plays well, but looks interesting too. The best forge maps don't look like forge maps.

The map may look small from the screens, but it plays much bigger, with multiple levels and pathways connecting to each area.

view from back towards main area:

view of front towards red base:

view from red spawn on lower level:

    looking towards blue spawn:

    up towards top level:

    'basement' area:

walkway on lower level towards blue base:

    'rotunda' area showing 3 levels:

This is my first serious attempt at creating a map, so I'm very open to suggestions and/or improvements. Spawn points, weapon placement, general gameplay, etc... please leave a comment. Thanks.

Nice layout, but it looks a bit too open in some respects. Some of the walkways are a little barren, and could maybe do with some cover here and there, but that's just me.

Other than that, very creative and awesome!

thanks, i appreciate the feedback, but i feel forgers too often clutter up their maps with too much cover, leaving no areas for longer ranged weapons. if you look at some of the best bungie maps, they're nothing BUT open, barren walkways. i tried to mix in different kinds of areas to suit all different kinds of playstyles.

I just finished playing this map with a few of my friends, and to be honest I was a little disappointed. Although the map is beatifically forged, and has a ton of extremely interesting parts, the game play was a bit sub par. We never ventured out onto the circular platforms, or on top of the central tower. Most of our combat held to the basement areas or the back part of the map. We were however playing a simple 3 v 3 and i could see this map being quit effective for a multi team or infection game type, and particularly ffa (Hope to play some more to give proper feedback on what gametype capitalizes the maps features).

I was impressed with the spawning and weapon placement on the map. I really like the sniper placement on two different levels, adds a variety to the way players rush the power weapons. In an attempt to move players around the map more, I think you might try adding a power weapon to the spiked dish platform, the only reason i see for going out there is an objective point. I would defiantly run out there for a plasma pistol.

I also think some lighting effects to the under part of the map could do wonders in creating a more established atmosphere, as it is now, nothing (in my opinion) helps set your map apart from the rest of the maps made on forge world. Another think i would like to to see is perhaps some sort of walkway on the back of the map instead of he man cannon. You have a sort of rocky theme going on back there already, some sort of rock bridge, tunnel or island over there might spice things up a little.

I hope something in here has helped you. This is truly an excellent jump into the forging community, please keep at it. Never can have to many creative minds.
