Slipspace *V3*

    Well first off hello. I am new to the forums of ForgeHub although I have lurked around the site a bit before joining as a member. I really liked the so called "Griff cannon" so I decided to build a map centering around using them. It meant to be a fast paced game where both sides are easily accessible through the two griff cannons place on the map. I tried to make it so you can only jump through the griff cannon or walk the narrow space between the fence wall and man cannons. (note: if you try its possible to grenade jump onto the middle wall ,but I don't see any advantage). I'm not good with spawns or weapons placement ,but me and my brother had a lot of fun on 1vs1 slayer. I haven't tried it with any other gametype.

    Well after not paying attention and not updating this thread I created a new thread for my updated map instead. I realized I was not supposed to do that. So a copied and pasted my new map post into this original post.

    Welcome to Forge Hub, Nice map, Looks great. I am actually working on a map incuding the grif cannon aswell.. nice Post too.

    Thanks. Yeah Griff cannons are fun to work with. I'm still working on how to build a MAC cannon out of one. That is my master plan. ;D

    Not bad at all, and welcome to ForgeHub (and 2008!). If I can offer suggestions, I would say that some crefully thought out scenery (such as spools, barrels, forklifts, etc.) would add a better feel to the level. Right now it feel far too open to have any sort of "character." By "character" I mean that the level has no specific feel to it...it's nice, but slightly bland. Consider adding some story behind the level by using aesthetics.

    Yeah I know what you mean by it being bland. It is very "skeletal" right now. Scenery is one of my favorite things to do so you can be sure to see some in an updated version of this map.

    Awesome map man...i plan on making a map with the similar concept but i think im only going to have one giant cannon...and i think ima put a vehicle there as well.... hehe...but this map looks reallly good DLing now ::clicks the link:: NICE :p

    Also please not that I have a newer version is in the works (hopefully better spawns) ,but I can't upload it because my home network is down from the storms.

    So I'll be updating this again eventually.

    This map looks very balanced looking at the scenery. I will definately try this out! Let me know of your future maps!

    I like the placement of the flags that you chose. The area is not to open so that their can't be campers and not too small so the escaping with the opposing flag is impossible. Good job.

    *Updated*

    Well after getting my internet connection fixed (w00tage!!!) I finally uploaded my 3rd version of my map. I tried to fix the spawning and I finally got a fair group of six people to play with my map and it seemed like the spawns were good.

    I tried messing with the priority on the spawn areas ,but I can't understand them. I ended up putting them all to zero which works quite well anyways.

    So here and enjoy the same map as always ,but with some changes to spawning.
