    The Pillar of Winter:
    Dock ambush

    -History-
The Pillar of Winter was recently re-stationed to sector 21D after command lost contact with one of it's military ship docking facility. Upon arrival to the docks, the Pillar of Winter fell under attack by infected dock staff and local populace.

    -Map-
The Map is in avalanche and only uses half the map. The other half is sectioned off. If there are cheaters find a way out, the zombies can either jump the wall and kill him or the host can simply boot him. Escaping is not a frequent occurrence so don't try. Your best hope for survival is a combination of teamwork and strategy. The map is mostly on land filled with docks and port authority buildings. There is a main dock building with a lighthouse and a gangplank to the Pillar of Winter. This is the main entry point. If the humans are smart they will use the docked hornet in the hanger to push the zombies off the gangplank before they can reach the ship. The zombies are slow enough that humans can outrun them but be warned that these are not regular zombies. (Read on in game type)

    -Game type-
The zombies are slow but not too slow. Humans can outrun them but the zombies are equipped with rockets to be able to combat the heavy firepower of the Pillar of Winter's crew and guns. The humans spawn on the Pillar of Winter and are equipped with battle rifles. Rockets can be found throughout the ships weapon areas, snipers are found in the armory along with battle rifle ammo. Ammo is low in the Pillar of Winter so be wary. A hornet is docked in the hanger but is only available after 1 minute and if left in the hanger for 90 seconds, becomes unusable. After 90 seconds, the hanger doors close and the hornet is no longer available for use. The hornet is an important part of the map as it is best used to knock unsuspecting zombies of the gangplank. Another function of it is to provide support for fellow team members after the Pillar of Winter is overrun. The zombies have 300% health to help negate the effects of all the turrets and rocket fire coming from the pillar. The humans also have 300% health because getting shot from afar is very common on the Pillar of Winter. The zombies do have access to all the hiding spots of the dockyard along with the warthogs parked there. The warthogs are not very effective in attacking the Pillar of Winter but are more useful for taking down the hornet once enough zombies get pissed off from getting knocked off the ship.

    -The Ship-
The ship has 4 floors named decks. The lowest deck, B-Deck is not accessible by most means...B-Deck is used for storage of recon vehicles. The second lowest deck is E-Deck. E-Deck consists of the armory (contents of the armory above) and the engine room. The main floor, A-Deck , is where most of rockets and support are. The hanger is built into A-Deck along with Gun-Deck A. Gun-Deck A is where the gangplank connects the Pillar of Winter to the dockyard. The main deck is F-Deck. F-Deck has the most fire power along with Gun-Deck B. F-Deck has a large opening in the center for hornet takeoff and landing until after 90 seconds when the hanger doors close. The nose of the Pillar also makes as a ramp down the stairwells that give access to E-Deck. Below are diagrams showing the Pillar of Winter from the highest deck to the lowest.

Here are some pics of the map. The B&W feature is used purposely during game play to make the map look cosmetically more appealing (double boxes aren't a uniform color).

Please don't attack me with interlocking comments as I know how to interlock but do not wish to.

"I need help on deck! Please land the hornet! I need bac..."
    -Min0rman before death-

"Wait wait wait, try and drop me off on the lighthouse...F*CK I fell off come pick me up...Oh god..."
    -Tehmuffinman before death-

"Abandon ship! Oh crap too late."
    -RelaxedGecko before death-

Thanks, I was getting sick of making things on foundry so I thought it was time for change. Turned out pretty nice though and has great gameplay

I'll tell you now-- armory-type places ruin maps. Remove the place with all the weapons. It ruins the gameplay.

Hup hup hup I'm smarter than that. I know an armory kills a map. Thats why I was clever enough to plan it out. With all the guns that are repeated like that having 0 spare clips, the added up amounts actually equal about 2 Snipers and 4 Battle Rifles. Also the battle rifle was purposely used because it is the default primary weapon for the game type anyway so there is no need for the ones in the armory other than to make the armory look more filled. The two rockets in the armory have clips though. Those are used for ammo.

Alright. But people may see that and immediately reject your map. Also, I think it'd be better to put them all in separate areas. It would make the gameplay better. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the advice. I put other weapons throughout the map with ammo though, the armory is more for show not really a master weapon depo

Yeah I tried to make the ship's features as well as the design similar to a UNSC ship. I really like playing it though. It's probably my favorite map to play that I made. Easily one of my best. The ship layout (above) was made as accurate as possible too.

Yeah as soon as I saw it, I got a perfect view of the ship from Halo CE in my head. Very accurate.

Then my architecture skills are effective yay. Lots of gameplay was left out of the description or else it would've been awfully long. Something new happens almost every time. Theres also lots of hidden places purposely left in. I'll give you two:

-The recon hanger: see if you can find a way in during a game
-The lighthouse: many ways in, once in you're like food behind a storefront window

See if any of you guys can find the rest, or ways into those two.

Cool. I'm currently working on a map called Cave In on Avalanche. It's got a lot of hidden places or places where you need to make a tough jump.

Hope it works out for you, I just finished looking at your other maps. Based on those I hope to see your latest as creative as the last ones

Thanks. Glad you liked it. I usually get criticized cause I'm too lazy to do the pointless interlocking. I only do it if it's necessary.

lol same that's why this map has barely any interlocking at all. I feel the same about that topic, interlocking is pointless unless you need a scenery object to be changed in size to your liking. In this map I barely do so therefore there is barely any interlocking.

Comments people please, I need constructive criticism please NOT based on interlocking; if it's criticism about that, I could care less.
