Cross Bones Description: Cross Bones is a track that features a few jumps, some nice aesthetics, and a boatload of fun. The map includes a triple option jump, a mine tunnel with the mines are in some of the rocks and laid out in the open, a rock jump, a ramp with rolling obstacles, a jump that leads into a dip under the water surface, a shortcut, some terrain, and a trip into a skulls mouth. If you don't make the gap jumps, then your mongoose will explode and you will die. Don't worry, you will respawn at the last check point. Remember to face the way you want to spawn while at death screen. This map is meant to be aggressive and to take out your friends if you can. Screenshots: Start and triple jump. The middle will give you the best landing and most speed, but is harder to land. If you fail the jump, you will die and spawn at the beginning of the ramp. Mine Tunnel. Fly through this tunnel but be aware of mines place strategically in plain site and into certain rocks. Drive close by them and set them off on people behind you. Rock Jump. If you crash into the rock, you will explode. You can go around the jump, but you will have to pass around mines. Ramp with Rolling Obstacles. Ramp is a lot bigger than screenshot looks. Pass by the rolling balls and make it up to the top for some drift turns. Drift Turns. The ramp is a shortcut, but is a harder to make jump. If you fail, you will die and spawn at the top of the big jump. The shortcut jump doesn't spawn until second lap. Small jump and Dip down into the water. Pass through Skull's Mouth Gap Jump after skull. If you fail, you respawn back at the top. The bridge is there for you to take as an alternate because you won't have enough speed to make the jump. So Don't fall short, which is highly unlikely.
this racetrack looks amazing.ill make sure to DL it when i get on reach (i cant DL maps from Bnet). which is why i love the new custom search! im surprised at the lack of love this racetrack is getting.
This Map is awesome!!! Ive played this map over and over again and this map never gets old! It rides so smooth and the gap jumps are awesome! Great Job!!!
I'm glad you guys all liked it. Let me know if you guys find any problems with the map as it was one of my first. I was experimenting and it would be nice to know not to make the same mistakes.

I've started to develop an interest in race maps recently, and I've done a download spree. This being one of the maps I've downloaded there's a couple things I'd like to say. Hand's down so far this has been the best racemap yet. It's not like your traditional race map, but its got a theme. My friends and I had a great time on this map and Its one I'm actually keeping on my hard drive. Nice work!
Sounded like you might have something negative to say at first, but I am glad you liked it. There are some other ideas I would like to implement along with the ones in this one to create another race map. I am sure everyone would love it, but it would take a long time to make an extensive testing. Unfortunately, I don't have the time and will be gone for a long time. Anyway, thanks for the comments and downloads. I agree the race maps that are currently the most downloaded suck. Not all, but most. I know a lot of people would love the race gametype if they can actually play on race maps that are well done. So guys, please go back and like the maps you like, I am not just saying mine, but all maps that are really well done.
Very nice work on this race! I like your use of the terrain, variety of traps, shortcuts and the layout. My favorite part has to be the extra wide drop-off into the water and the nicely made skull door. Great job!
Whats awesome about this map is that you really seem to be one of the few to catch the true essence of kart racing. Trials, tribulations, shortcuts, feel like I'm in Mario Kart already and I haven't even downloaded it yet.
Out of the five maps my group playtested, this is, I think, our favorite race map so far. The path is clear, but tricky enough to slow down leaders and give everyone a chance at victory. I eventually gave up on the one shortcut jump, lol. The mines aren't irritating, but are still a factor, and the skull is a great touch. Good job on this one. No complaints (a first for me.)
