    Achillon v1

    Achillon is a map that I've been working on for the week and I've been brainstorming this map since Halo 3. I never was very skilled in Halo 3 forge tricks and now that I have the opportunity to make it I have, v1 of the map is done and I'd like to get some test games in. I've ran two games on it so far all with positive feedback.

    I've been a bit vague on exactly what this map is so far so onto the important bits!

    Achillon is a symmetrical map designed for MLG gametypes (Currently you can use the GB settings or Slayer Pro). It had some slight inspiration from Narrows, Beaver Creek, and Blood Gulch.

    * If labeled with asterisk I will explain later.

    About Custom powerup, the traits it should have are as follows.

    Shields = 3x Shields
    Damage Resistance = Invulnerable
    Trait time = 5 Seconds

    (This allows the player to be Invulnerable 5 seconds after he/she picks up custom powerup and the Overshield trait will remain even after the 5 seconds is up.)

    The map looks very open up top, which I guess is good and bad. There is a lot of maneuvering room for strafing, but there is also very little cover. If someone gets up in the tower with a sniper rifle, it's game over for anyone on the upper level. How much budget do you have left for added cover.

    Also, how are your spawns set up?

    The sniper really wasn't overpowered in the first 2 games I've played on it, I've contemplated adding more cover for the top but I felt it would be way to cluttered and less room to move around. Surprisingly, the snipers tend to stay off the top of the towers and remain around the 2nd level of the tower and basement. I'll see how it plays out in further testing and go from there.

    I have neutral spawns in the middle of the map (Kinda) and the initial spawns are in the back of the base for each team, along with team coded respawn points in and around each teams base, the spawns as far as I've seen are fine. (Also need further testing before a final verdict is made)

    Some slight cover from above(like a horizontal wall above the ground, but more stylish) would ease up the sniper being OP/controlling, if there is a flaw in it.
    Or make the respawn timer slightly higher.

    Didn't really think about that all too much. I wanted to promote tower to tower sniping fights a bit, kinda like in Pinnacle but more straight-on. I'll have this added as an idea if I do need to add more cover.

    Also, still looking for testers, hit me up on XBL with a F/R and we'll run some games tomorrow morning/afternoon (I have to work from 5-10 PM EST time.) Another note, I'll be updated my "Online status" in my OP so you'll know if I'm on or not to respond to messages/invite you to a game.

    Keep the feedback coming.

    Update: I finally gave in and added a download link to the post, didn't really get much response from the community for testing so I'll let you guys download it and test it at your leisure, if you get a game started please do invite me I'd love to join in on the fun.
