As I'm sure you know by now this is the first Halo game that I've used Forge, so I have a lot to learn. My question concerns spawning items. There are 2 options. Max # and Min #. Let's say I've placed 10 DMR's on the map. Do I have to go into the Spawning options and make the Min # = 10 to make sure there will always be 10 BMR's on the map? And then, if I place an 11th one, do I then have to increase the Min # to 11? ( the Max # is automatically changed, correct?) I probably have this all wrong, so please educate me.
If you put the min as the same number as the max.. that means the DMR will respawn instantly. If you don't change the min, the DMR will spawn after a given amount of time, which you are able to set. You're gonna want to leave the min as it is for normal slayer-type maps.
I'm confused. The description for Min Count says: "The game will try to spawn st least this many of this object". This sounds like it means if this # is 1, then the game will spawn 1 of this item. How do you get this to be equivalent to an amount of time? And where do you set the time value? I don't see any option like this. I appreciate your help but this doesn't make any sense.
Here's my understanding of it: Respawn Time - time after the gun has been picked up that it will spawn again Min Count - if there are less than this many spawned, more will instantly spawn, ignoring respawn time Max Count - if there are already this many spawned, and an objects respawn timer is up, it will not respawn yet. So you want to use a Min Count of maybe 1-5 and a max of 10.
Whatever you set your minimum to is how many of that particular object will be on the map at all times. The number of that object will never go under that limit. It will spawn new objects to keep up.
