Tacoma Bridge - Need Testers :)

    I am finishing up a Forge World map and wanted to test it with some people to try out the balance/etc. It is CTF and fought on a bridge between two teams - plenty of vehicles and 3 sniper rifles hidden on the map.

    I can definitely say that the gameplay was fun overall. I can't say that I was overjoyed about the number of power weapons. There were several sniper rifles that encouraged camping in / on the middle support tower. I think that the only sniper rifle would be fine on top of the tower but with a much longer respawn time and reduced clip size. I think this can be applied to the rocket launchers as well. They really came in handy, but their frequent spawning made pushing forward rather difficult with the falcon. Conversely, when they were completely removed, the falcons, which had been increased in number to 3, became slightly over powered. I also think there should be more spawns. The ones on the map quickly became a little boring. The spawn area should also have more cover, if the sniper rifle is to remain on the central tower; the elevation line of sight allows the sniper an unparalleled advantage for those that are just spawning at their flag. The sniper position offers the sniper too much cover; there's too much reward and not enough risk for the sniper.

    Despite what seem like negative views on your map, I greatly enjoyed playing on it and would do so again in a heart beat. It looked spectacular. The bridge was very well put together. I think that if you do end up editing your map, maybe to get more cash, you can delete the very bottom of the central tower near the water, since the only players who might see it are those in a falcon, and chances are that they are more interested in causing more chaos for the enemy team.

    All in all I thought it was one of the best maps I've played on in a while. 9.5/10

    The map itself is amazing but as has been said. the power weapons could be tweaked and some soft kill zones underneath the bridge and the surrounding areas to discourage wandering and get rid of anyone that falls off and lives (like I did)

    Doesn't that seem like a really, really long walk for the flag carrier? Even if you had warthogs, there should be some cover or variation in height for the snipers to have a harder time..

    EDIT: You really need to put a hard kill volume about half the way down the bridge. I'm stuck alive on the island right now.

    EDIT 2: Okay, I'm in the canyon right now. This level really needs some kill volumes.
