So, I want to get to work remaking my all-time favorite Halo map; Backwash. But I can't find a good Location on Forge World. My fisrt thought was the quarry, but it was too small. I could close off part of the Gorge, but is seems like a big waste of budget. Any ideas? Or am I stuck there? Furthermore, what was everyone's opinion on the Fog and size? Should I keep the fog? Should I make it bigger? Smaller?
I thought everybody hated back wash (me included!) you must have been gutted when it got removed from matchmaking! anyway, did backwash have watery bits? I cant remember, why dont you use the center part of the canyon where the swampy bits/puddles are. How are you planning on doing the trees? or are you just going to leave them out? you have to leave the fog in, you want that dark murky feel dont you?!
Yeah, I know I was the minority. Something about the cluttered and lost feel of Backwash just appealed to me. Wandering through the swamp for a few seconds and suddenly the giant tower looms up out of nowhere. Predator on the map was simply epic. I'll probably end up "re-imagining" backwash. The shape (It was shaped sort of like a circle with two skinny ovals sticking off the sides.) proved to be too much for my measly Seastacks and colloseum walls. And if any forging partners want to help me with the tower (I suck at vertical forging.) I would more than welcome the help.
