Hey everybody I'm new to this forum, but I was just looking for a place to get my maps out there and noticed. So I'll just start with my first Halo Reach map- Pool I made it out of boredom and it actually turned out quite nice It is an indoor swimming pool on forge world with the ability to submerge underwater completely. It has a diving board as seen below- Right now the map is just for slayer because for some reason when I try other gametypes it says that the map is incompatible. So please give it a look because it took me a while to make it. THANKS! Me testing the water on the entrance ramp/stairs- You can pick up the evade at the diving board if you want to flip, or just jump on the grav lift at the end and make a big jump! I dropped something in the water and when I went down to pick it up, I noticed that I didn't instantly die. So I put a grid down there and started surrounding it with walls. I then spawned two colosseum walls for the floor. So there's a little bit of space on certain parts of the map where water can be entered at a short depth.
It's not a glitch. In some areas you can venture underwater as there's a limit you go before hitting the death barrier. I assumed that it was 1.5 for Colosseum Walls but as it turns out, it's lower in some areas and higher in others. If I'm not mistaken Swimming Pool is in the coastline and the limit there is 0.7 whereas where I tested this out in the water area of the island it's 1.5. Anywho, the map is nice but without the added novelty of the underwater feature, it's simply a big room with a large hole. The construction is nice and smooth, however I agree with STWOW; this would probably classify more as an aesthetic map.
