New here. How's it going everyone? I gotta say Forge in Reach is so much more appealing now, I'm gonna give it a crack after seeing some seriously incredible things from H3's Forge. Never thought it was possible. Anyway! I was wondering, in Reach, is there any way to make an area vehicles only so no one can actually walk on it? Like you die if you walk in this area, but if you're in a vehicle you're safe? I was thinking a Race gametype but I still want people to be able to walk in other places so I don't think that will work. What about hill markers or something? I can't figure it out. Also... this is the right place to post it, yeah?
Yeah I think so, if you put a massive teleporter over the area which teleports people into a killball, but doesnt teleport vehicles.
You only need the one teleporter to do this. My manipulating the object size, much like you do for hills or territories and such, you are in fact manipulating the teleporters area of effect. So place one in the middle of the area you want to be vehicles only, set it to the size you need it then put it to false for all vehicles but true for players. Vehicles drive through sweet as, but as soon as a player steps inside the area of effect, they are pick up and sent elsewhere.
You could also try having an immediate death barrier as a thin layer across the floor, perhaps you would die if you walked on it but be okay in a vehicle? I mean ghosts hover.
Your forgetting about jumping/jetpacks Assuming there are no jetpacks, you could make a bridge out of shield doors. Vehicles drive smoothly (I think) and players fall through.
DAH! DIS VIL VORK! This is the best way to combat people on foot. have the teleporter dump em out in the ocean...or a killball.
