I really want to make a map that has a spaceship with drop pods made out of barriers like some people made in Halo 3. When I tried to make the drop pods out of the barriers and a powerup, they just fell out of my ship right away. Does anyone know how to make a drop pod in Halo: Reach?
Structure > Decorative > Cover. Structure > Building Blocks > 1X1 flat. Those should be the pieces you need to at least make a drop pod aesthetically.
When I delete the floor under the barriers/powerup, the barriers slant off the sides of the powerup instead of staying where they were placed like in Halo 3. Neo Arkitect, I don't want to make an aesthetic drop pod, I want to make a working one. I am trying to make one that when you walk into the two barriers you pick up the powerup under them and then fall with the pod.
Sorry to say it but there aren't that many non-permanent objects in Reach and I have yet to find anything that would make a good drop pod that works.
Try using the fixed option bro. It works with weapons, i don't see why it wouldn't work with movable objects.
Instead of suspending it on custom power ups, maybe try suspending it on weapons? They walk to the drop pod, pick up the weapon that is holding the drop pod and it drops?
If objects go through overshields like the op says, that might be enough to cushion the fall. Either that or use custom powerup. Jetpacks might work too.
what u need to do is box the drop pod inso that they cant slide off. only have one side of the box open so they can walk in . this worked great for me! hope it helps
