Island defense is an invasion game. It utilizes almost all areas of forge world. The area where hemorrhage is located. In the cave and in the island. Elites attack while Spartans play defense. Vehicles and power weapons spawn as you progress. Extrememly fun if you love standard invasion mode
Good idea. In fact, Its incredibly similar to map I've been making (invasion conquest w/ no elites) The only problem is that you are a bit too reliant on buildings. It'd be much better If you used more walls and stuff for the outposts.
Thanks for the advice. I'm a new forger and this is my first map on reach. Getting the hang of the new tools and stuff. What did you mean by making buildings with walls though. Can anyone thats a good forger message me with tips on making maps in reach. Primarily big maps but 4v4 are good too. If anyone has any advice for this map please post
What he's essentially saying is, "Use the pre-built buildings less, and use your own imagination and creativity more." Here at ForgeHub we really value the creative power of Forgers, and it seems like you've got a really cool idea here...but you're relying pretty heavily on stuff Bungie made for you (i.e., the towers from Ascension/Last Resort). While they are legitimate towers and make OK buildings, consider using some of that imagination you clearly have to create your own buildings, cover, etc. Why not make a tower that is falling apart (by having some walls missing or too short, ramps/stairs missing parts), thus adding some ingenious creativity to your map? What you want is your map to stand out because it's different...not blend in and disappear into page 34 of the forums because no one could remember why it was unlike any other map. Bungie has given you incredible tools with the ability to phase...use those tools to make something NEW! =D
