I have seen several maps that use lights to create "colored rooms." There is a Pit remake that has a cool rocket/invis spawn with a green light hidden somewhere so the Green halway is actually Green, and a blackout remake with a Green shotgun tunnel. My question is this: Are there any items that "block out" the light? I have a double story structure, and I was planning on making the bottom floor Green. But when I place the light inside a rock (there is a rock going through the room), the light goes through the ceiling and makes the second floor a little green. Basically, the lights light up everything, and they also go through walls, rocks, etc. Are there items that stop this from happening? If not, how did people make such accurate shotgun tunnels or green hallways?
@Pumpkin: Do you mean the items (walls, blocks, ramps, etc.) or the light? Like, add a green light and make the team color green, or add a white light and make the team color green? @Jupiter: Then it's not as bright in the first floor.
then can you use use 2 of them? I know what you are talking about, and its really annoying, though I don't think any objects effect the area in which a light shows. I think every object within a certain radius of the light will be affected by the light no matter how many abject are between it and the light.
I think he meant take the objects making up the room itself, and change team to green, or colour to green.
Two lights is definitely disappointing. They increased the item limit but you're still limited to two lights...
