This is a remake (to the best of my abilities) of the classic "Facility" from the good old game Goldeneye:007 for the Nintendo 64. If you've played GE before, you'll instantly know this map like the back of your hand. If you haven't played GE before, prepare to get rocked by the old school generation. Facility: Unfortunately, due to item-family limits, the vents didn't make the final build of the map. But no Facility is complete without the bathroom! Welcome to the main area of the Facility. This is the central "Hub" of the map that connects the front end of the map to the back end of the map. Feeling sneaky? Take the road less traveled. This back stairway leads directly to (or from) the bathroom and main area. It'll take you to a rear corridor that you can use to safely navigate around the facility. This is the locker room. The only thing that links the Main area to the long hall (below). This area is often times the choke point in team-based games. The long hall. It's long, and it's a hall. More importantly, it joins the locker room to the final two rooms of the Facility. This is one of the chambers that can be accessed through the long hall. The other chamber that can be accessed through the long hall. In order to really enjoy this map the way it should be, 4-8 players are strongly recommended. You'll also need to download a specific game variant that I've made called: N64 "Classic" The map and game variant can both be found on my fileshare but I won't post a download link because the forum rules tell me not to (I am confused about this....). Map Features: -4 Health stations spread out over the map -Assault Rifle -DMR -Magnums -Shotgun N64 "Classic" Features: (It plays like an N64 game would) -No regenerating health -No shields -No grenades -No melee damage -Slightly faster movement This is the first time I've posted a map on Forge Hub so if I've done it wrong, please go easy on me. Hey, this map looks awesome. You truly captured the feel of golden eye. On a side note the reason that you weren't supposed to post a DL link is because you posted in the Discussion section. This if for Forge Discussion and map previews. If you are done with your map you should have posted it in the custom content section under maps. If this is the thread that you want to use to post your map though you could just add a DL link and ask a mod to move your thread to the right section.
Very cool. Totally want to DL. I've got some friends that are kinda ~ on Halo - but showing then Goldeneye IN Halo, since Halo truly is the game's spiritual successor, should do the trick and get me some more forge guinea pigs. I'd recommended turning off vehicles in your 64 mode as well, since you have one in there. WHY is that in there btw, as opposed to the large tanks that otherwise would be? Vents will be missed. So, yeah, looking forward to it - though I'll probably play it w/ standard Slayer.
Oh wow, this looks amazing. Pity about the vents, though, but I guess it hardly matters in the end. I expect to see more Goldeneye maps make the transition into Halo after this. I think I might get working on Complex. ...what?
Ok, I'll give that I try I suppose. The Falcon is there just for decoration purposes. If you use the game variant with this map, you'll find you can't actually fly it. Only stare and think wishful thoughts.
