Reach Recon Armor

Recon is just an armor permutation, it has no real significance and it never will. The only reason anybody cared about it was because the people who had it were a prestigious few and ever since ODST came out Recon has descended into the trashbins of Halo. I never cared for it, I always liked Security because it made you look like an astronaut.

 

i think all the permutations in reach look better than they do in halo 3 because of the advances graphics and armor options such as visor color, so i think the halo reach recon looks cooler.

 

It doesn't look as cool as it did in Halo 3. But then again everyone has it in Halo 3, so it wasn't that cool to begin with. But if I had to choose I would pick Halo 3.

 

I was an elite 100% of the time, so 3 recon never bothered me too much. Recon in reach DOES look nicer, though.

 

Recon (helmet) is still ugly. Honestly, the only reason people like it is because it was an exclusive armor. Even after, every 13 year old kid thought they were cool because they got the vidmasters.

Recon (helmet) has never, and will never truly look good.

I'm one of the only ppl who never got recon, but i only liked the chestplate for it.

Well I liked Recon because it was the only one that looked like an idolized ninja. Hayabusa looked like a samurai, is it wrong to like Recon for how it looks?

 

But, the only thing I like about the armor is the helmet. :'(

But, I didn't get raging hard on over it, even before I got if from Bungie day.

 

I'm gonna say reach recon because I didn't see it and to be honest I find 3's recon sooooo ugly.

 

It still sucks but the only reason why it was popular in Halo 3 was because it was an exclusive armor permutation. After ODST no one cared about it. Bungie could have an exclusive armor like Mark V and everyone will be screaming saying they want it even though it was one of the first unlocks.

ditto. i don't like the recon helmet in reach that much, I do like the shoulders and chest though (the one with a half dozen cargo flaps on the front). Off the subject, ODST helmet looks better, and great with the breather. I am REALLY glad we have the option to wear the odst shoulders as well

 

Agreed. I've been a fan of the ODST armor since 3.

As for Recon, neither of them look good to me. It looks like a spartan with a bowling ball on his head.

I really dont like the little doo hickies the Recon armor came with, Ive seen some models of the Recon in Reach that dont have all the extra stuff hanging on the head. As for the Halo 3 Recon, the chest was really the only good piece id bother getting, I liked recon better when it was rare and bungie actually gave it to you for achieving something noticeable.

But really, Mark V helmet fo life dawg.
