Facility 256 Creator: smm2010 Track Name: Facility 256 Map Name: Forge World Gametype: Race Description: Welcome to my first racetrack in Halo: Reach, named Facility 256. This abandoned racing coliseum has been revamped and restored, ready for use once again. This is one of those tournament tracks that separate the good racers from the not-so-good racers. There are three banked turns total on the track, as well as two perfect jumps. This map is best used for the Race gametype. Now onto the pictures! Starting Area (Use traffic light guide to properly start the race) First Banked Turn First Jump First Half of the Colossal Banked Turn Second Half of the Colossal Banked Turn Tight Corner After the Colossal Banked Turn into the Final Banked Turn Final Jump Overview (I know there's only two out of the eight mongeese shown at the starting gate; only two people raced when I took screenshots.) What inspired your creation? Just wanted to make a racetrack in the hangar in Forge World. I'd have to say the Colossal Banked Turn was inpired by a Halo 3 track named Lightning Fast. How long did it take you to create this track? I'd say around ten hours or so in a two-day time frame. What aspect of the track took you the longest to make? I'd have to say it was the colossal banked turn. When I made it I still wasn't used to the coordinates yet, so that took me some time to forge. Download Here
This map is pretty darn awesome, good job SMM. Just be aware that the way to go wasn't obvious the first time I played it... kind of laughed hard once I figured out I was going backwards... "hmm why aren't the jumps working?"
