I don't know if this has been discussed but has anyone noticed the game seems to autosave your map when you end the game in forge. This is extremely annoying because if I mess up in Halo 3 forge but I had saved recently I would just end the game, go back in, and it would be all good. Is there any way around this and has anyone else found this annoying?
Yeah I learned the hard way when my original copy of Forge World was abused by my friends and I had to go in and find every one gun and item because they used ALL of them possible while I was in the shitter. The only thing I can suggest is go in make a save of the map as a blank forge world, do as you did in Halo 3 and save regularly, and if you mess up and the ability to fix it is NOT possible (I think bungie thinks their forge 2.0 is flawless) return to a previous save. The autosave feature is a nice feature in a way, given how many times I accidentally hit the wrong button forging in Halo 3 and ended the game not started a new round and all, but it's a little clunky at the moment.
Like the person above me said, I learned the hard way. We messed around a bunch and then I got on the next day and what a surprise that was. Took me about 5 minutes to get rid of it all, thank God for the delete all.
Yeah I noticed that too. I ended my game because my friends wanted to go play Matchmaking. And when I came back to it about an hour later, everything was exactly the way that I had left it. Personally, I think it's really cool, but I could see how it would suck if you wouldn't be able to revert back to how you had it before an accident.
Guys guys guys. It doesn't actually over write your save file. If you're forging, and you save, and then a friend joins... and if the friends messes **** up, and you end it, just reselect the file from the menu. It's just a temporary thing, like if you played a custom on h3, did matchmaking and came back to the customs lobby, that custom would still be selected... So, just re-select the file and all is good and dandy
