Myself and two friends went to the midnight release and did a lan party after, it started around 1-1:30est. We had no internet. We finished legendary and I ended up with over 24,000cr, and 23 or 24 achievements. I came home the next day and recovered my tag to my main xbox and loaded up Reach with internet and all it was like I never even played. My credits were gone, rank was reset, controller setteing back to default, default spartan, and all of my achievements were relocked. My two friends didn't lose anything. Any idea why this happened? I didn't break street date so I don't see why bungie would have reset me, unless they just don't like me...I think it was just some freak incident.
I'm 100% sure it was because, after getting all the Credits and such, you never connected to the internet to show the logs online that keep track of stats like that--that you got all of it, so then when you switched Xbox's the Credits and such didn't come with it, because it got the information on your Gamertag off of the "internet" where as your stuff was never logged into that information. Maybe go back to the Xbox you played on originally and hope that it saved it there, connect to the internet so it registers those earned stats, THEN go to your own Xbox, if not, that sucks : /
Sorry Jones. I'm almost positive that its because you chose to recover your tag first. Myka and I loaded up waypoint and going to our careers before even turn on the game itself. I don't know if that affected it at all. We'll help you get it all back bud.
If the profile you got the achievements on was recovered another time and then re-recovered back to your other xbox then I'm sorry but there is absolutely no possibility of getting that stuff back (to my knowledge). Logging onto a profile that has been recovered to another xbox causes loss of earnings. If you were online it would have prevented you from logging in but if you weren't then you will not be prevented but nothing you do in that profile will effect the actual live profile.
lol... how the hell are you supposed to recover your achievements from another xbox if it hasn't been connected to the internet while you were logged on to it? you think xbox.com has some kind of ESP that can read the hard drives of xbox's not connected to LIVE? common sense is failing...
everyone is right, this happened to me on COD4 when I did the campaign on veteran. You have to be connected to xbox live for it to count. There is no way t go back. Everything you did is gone and theres no way to get it back.
None of you stats saved because you didn't sign into XBOX live on your friend's XBOX before recovering the account on your own XBOX. XBOX live has no way of knowing that you did all of that because you weren't online. Plus, even if it could, I don't think that they would allow it because you could just let 10 different people on 10 different XBOXs recover your account, disconnect from XBOX Live, and each get you 4 achievements. Then you just recover your account and you would have most of the Halo: Reach achievents. That would be stupid.
