ok, now that reach is out im very excited to start forging again, but there seems to be a function that automatically saves my map wenever i make a change. now this doesnt seem like a big deal but the way i play is i usually forge until my friends get on, then wen they get on they join my game to check out wat im doing and then i save the map, and we mess around, but once they change it (even if i save the map under a new name) the second they add or delete something, its there until its deleted so if i screw up i cant end the game and restart at my last save to undo the problem, now is this a glitch or some setting? and how can i turn it off? plz help...
Uhh, be sure to save the map when your friends join. If they mess anything up, you will have to go back to the Forge menu and select the map you're forging. The game automatically saves whatever progress you have when you left off, but you can reload the actual progress you saved manually by returning to the Forge menu and loading your map again.
thats wat i do but it save everything! liek if i have a map set up then they come in and make a banshee but i saved b4 they joined and i end the game and restart from my last save it will load the version with the new banshee! thats y its annoying
the map Varient 'Forge World' will auto save, and reset once the xbox is turned off. (Back to a blank canvas) Save the map as a new name once you start forging, and once your friends join- hit "save map" so that it re saves under a new variant. The auto save feature for the deafault forge world, is so that if you end a game, and you want to come back to that, you can. But it only saves DEFAULT canvas.
When you go to restart from your last save, select "Map" and scroll to "Forge World" (only if that's where you're forging), then scroll to your map variant, select, and load. The game will then load your last save. Map > Forge World > Your Forge World Map Variant If you don't do this, you will continue to load the version that you last left off on.
