Wait, so can vehicles be objectives? (sorry, didn't play the Beta so I'm kinda in the dark) EDIT: OH, very nice video, by the way. I really appreciate it; I've been scouring youtube all day looking for FORGE WORLD info and the video sheds a lot of light on it. Good stuff.
Yes vehicles, objects, scenery, etc. call ALL be used as a game type specific object. and no problem. Like I said in the video, ill be posting alot more forge videos in the near feature, be sure to subscibe
Yes, I believe so. You could throw flags off Narrows to effectively destroy them and they would just reset. So I assume it would work similarly in Reach.
THANK YOU! Here is a question: Can you spawn walls/objects and weapons based on phases? ex: A building didn't exist in phase 1 but suddenly appears in phase 2 because you set it to "2". Also related, can you despawn objects? ex: When you go to phase 3 that building disappears. Spawnable on Phase = SOP if you want to use the term.
A few things: Oo! Grids don't disappear when in Custom Games! Oo! We actually get a core! I thought it would just be a flag! Oo! Thats a lot of gametype options! Now hurry up post man, I want my game!
How do I set a teleporter to be SOP? I want a teleporter to spawn in the third phase, tried different approaches but it didn't work :<

Posting on phone; sorry for incoherence. A few questions: I can't seem to spawn the core consistently; what would usually be overlooked? I have set the flag stand to inv_obj_flag and have a hill marker with matching spawn phases, but nothing comes out and it's kinda frustrating. Also, what does setting a vehicle to an objective actually do? It tells me to go to the car, but nothing happens when I get on. Also, spawn at the beginning of the round = false doesn't seem to do what I think it should be doing (the objects are spawned at the beginning anyway). Thanks for help on advanced.
I wish I would have watched this before I experimented too, haha. Anyway, do you know what inv_platform does and what inv_mancannon does? I tried a bunch of things with the platform, thinking I could spawn an object during a certain sequence, but it never worked. Try setting the objects to all red team. The only exception I had was making the final return point--I set that to blue team (red is defense). I don't know if you have to do it this way, but I know it works with this set up. I don't know on your second question, I haven't experimented yet. Do you have the spawn timer at like 1 second or something? I am also kind of havign problems with this. I am still trying to figure out how to spawn objects after sequences....
I have it set to 1 second, but I'm under the impression that it shouldn't matter since it should be spawning in during a later sequence... But I'm not sure... Anyway, yeah, a lot of the options are kinda confusing and I'm still not certain what they actually do. (at one point, I set a mongoose to INV_OBJ_FLAG and then a core spawned on it and I was like "WTF")
Thank you for the basics tutorial, i'd already figured it out. i have a piece of the label puzzle, which I shall share, but i'd like to about spawn-on-phasing, if it's possible. Or if i just need to gate the object off. when inv_mancannon is attached to a mancannon and spawn selection is set to 1/2/3 it will spawn in phase 1/2/3. wether it works for other objects I do not know.
Just make the spawn time for an object the same length as the first phase of invasion, 2nd phase, etc. Make sense?
You know how you can choose where to spawn in Invasion on like Boneyard ("The Garage", The Amory", etc.), how do you do this in Forge World? I can make multiple spawn locations, I just am having a hard time choosing which one I spawn at--it puts me at one at random.
