Would somebody please explain how to set up a gametype for your map, as of right now nothing I have tried has worked besides slayer and FFA slayer.....?
    Please help. Thank you.

I'm pretty sure when you go into the forge lobby, there's a list of gametypes. One of them is Basic Editing, which I'm assuming is the one you've been trying. Go into CTF to change CTF gametype stuff. Go into oddball to change oddball stuff. Etc... As long as you're in the Forge lobby and not customs, you'll be able to forge.

This seems a little confusing but I'm pretty sure this lets us have game specific scenery. If you go into the advanced settings of an object you might understand where I'm coming from.

For some reason that had no effect. :/ That's what I figured. I set up a whole gametype and then tried to play a custom game and saw it said it was not set up currectly when I have spawns and everything, as far as I know. :'(

Well give me an example and I'll hop on right now to check it out.

All I know is that you have to change the game type label to race_flag for the checkpoints. Just selecting Race doesn't work. Maybe that's what you did? That's just an example, though. I doubt you're talking about race.

Did you save the map after placing the new spawnpoints and such?
I've forgotten to do that before.

Yeah, I am having the exact same problem. When I switched over to assault, I could not find the bomb or planting point. I dont know what else to try, but if someone else has figured it out, it would be much appreciated if you told us how to.

Go into a pre-forged map such as paradiso and examine the properties on all the objective items. This should tell you what settings to use.

I totally agree with OP though. It seems really complex to set up game types on forged maps.

set your goals and flag markers as you want them in basic editing. then save and exit. then start in the gametype you want it to be for (grifball, in my case)

when you go to the properties for the goal, it should say set "as goal" or "as bomb". in CTF it'd be "as goal" or "as flag"...... etc, etc. Set the two plant points to as goal, make sure they are team specified. Then you set the flag marker to "as bomb".

voila! it should work after that.

Not to take over this thread, but something on topic, how do you add Capture plates to Juggernaut in a forged game and map.
