Don't know if anyone has posted or seen it yet, but the first (as far as I know) review of Reach is out, by IGN!!! I won't post anything besides the link, for people who don't want to know too much or something, but here it is:

Halo: Reach Review - Xbox 360 Review at IGN

What I will say is, reading the review just kills me that there is any time between now and the release... WHY ISN'T TODAY TUESDAY!!!!!!!!

It's good to see Bungie get an excellent score for their last Halo game. Then again, I wasn't expecting any less.

I've got to disagree with IGN on their complaints about not enough maps. Even though there is only 13 maps, 4 being remakes, There are differences in the maps. Reflection, for example it completely aesthetic. I don't see myself getting tired of these maps anytime soon.

I also don't think the inability to "search" for customs games through the game is really complaint worthy. It's not that hard to simply get on the computer, log on to Bungie.net and search for the gametype or map you want.

Once again, it's good to see Bungie leave Halo with a bang.

To be honest I'm already impressed with the amount of maps including the firefight maps. It may indeed be ripped straight from the campaign, but which other major competitor does the same thing?
I also dont agree custom games should be matchmaking. But actually a classic multiplayer system like scrolling down a list of available matches (open to public of course) and choosing one.
And another thing CAMPAIGN MATCHMAKING!!! ACE!!!

I'm pretty sure that feature is in the game, at least it was in the beta with screenshots and clips.

What he was talking about is matchmaking to find people to play custom games with.

Im rather dissapointed with the score of 9.5. And once again frustrated with how IGN rates games that clearly deserve better. I mean really they basically took off those final .5 points because theres no matchmaking system for customs, and that they think the game should of had 20+ maps (like halo 3) from the start. Did they forget what DLC is or even this place called Forgeworld. IGN needs to i think rethink how they review games or get some new reviewers. Eitherway something needs to change.

He also talked about how there was inconsistencies in frame rate during larger battles, and how some of the large scale battles didn't have the right feel.

I don't think 9.5/10 is something to complain about. Reach is going to be great, but I doubt it's going to be perfect.

Wait, how did it only get 9.5/10 for lasting appeal? Halo 3 still gets played by 150000-200000 players daily..
