Ladies and Gentleman, I present to you my plan for a remake of Chiron TL-34.

I know what you are thinking; what makes this remake better than the other plans? It appears as though you also have just plain hallways due to lack of teleporters. Woh there don't jump to conclusions about those "plain" hallways.

Without further ado I present my key to success in making a nearly pixel perfect remake of Chiron.

    The False Teleporter
    [IMG]

Within the connecting hallways are a shield door and a kill ball which has been blocked by other walls thus disengaging its killing effect. The combination of the narrow hall size, the kill ball, and the shield door make it fairly difficult to discern objects on the other side of the teleporter while additionally making it look reminiscent of a CE teleporter. As you walk through the hallway, you become blinded by the kill ball and re-emerge on the other side having gone through the illusion of teleportation. In other words, this hallway looks and works like a CE teleporter without even being one.

Using the false teleporter, I will be able to make the closest possible remake of Chiron. And I request that I be asked in advance permission to use my false teleporter in your map.

First of all, his should be moved to Halo 3 forge discussion. Im a bit confused, the reason it's so difficult to make a Chiron remake is because of the lack of teleporters. How is combining a shield door and a kill ball going to help?

No, this belongs here. I'm remaking it in reach but I had to use halo 3 to create my idea since I obviously don't have reach. And combining a shield door and a kill ball creates the illusion of teleportation. You can walk through the killball/shield door and it makes it seem like you've teleported into a different room.

Oh okay I get it. You should have wrote that in your original post cause it was a bit confusing. This is actually a pretty god idea. Nice thinking.

This is a nice idea. Try combining it with a cannon, man. Make the awesome fake teleporter and as you enter the blindness a cannon shoots you across the map.

That goes against every idea presented here, and couldn't work in a Chiron remake.

Haha! Very nice! I knew someone would probably use shield doors to replace one of the teleporters but combining it with the non-kill ball is a great idea!

Hmmm, would you mind if I used something like this in one of my own maps?

    If not, I totally understand.

You have posted in a different planet called Halo Reach Forge Discussion. A mod must transport this to Mars or Halo 3 Forge Discussion. \

Nah Im just kidding. This is really cool. The kill ball part was really clever. But what happens when you jump in the killball part, you die? I thought the problem to solve Chiron was to put shield doors. Very cool though. Excited about this.

this is smart, but it all rides on the assumption that the kill ball in reach behaves just like the kill ball in H3 when combined with a shield door. I dont think this is confirmed... Is there even a kill ball in reach?

Yup, the kill ball is in Reach, I've seen a forge video that includes it. The guy uses it to kill some guy thats dancing around infront of him durning the demonstration.

No the entire kill ball space within the hallway is non-lethal, you can jump anywhere.

I'd assume that the kill ball will behave the same exact way since it is the same design as the H3 one.
