Deus Ex Machina by ~00Riser on deviantART So... how is it? I did it after watching a tutorial on how to do that effect... which also used the vitruvian man as an example so, yes I know I lacked creativity on this one, I just want to know if I pulled the effect off well enough to do it on something else.
I suppose that it is meant to look artistic, but I feel as though it could have given more information.
I enjoy it when something teaches me something, but yours teaching me nothing other than the title. Do you not have any other information to give? No slogan? No quote? Too plain for my taste. Also, the color is definitely memorizing, but could you make it into color? That would be awesome.
... The title of it is a quote/slogan... it is latin (I believe) and means god from the machine (This I know). It is a nod to greek times when gods in plays would hang from a system of pulleys or, a machine, hence god from the machine. There is actually a surprising amount of stuff related to this phrase. Generally nowadays the term is used to describe events that happen within story that are highly unlikely and only serve to get the character out of the situation, for example: You are about to be shot by a bank robber, but out of the blue a piano falls on him, killing him.
um. what is the point of Da Vinci's Vitruvian man? whats duex ex machina? anyways. very monotone. but its k i guess. looks like you only used brushes and text aside from that effect. which you got of a tut... so idk what to say.
Read. Yes, I did edit this into my last reply after you finished but I didn't read yours until I was done already. The Vitruvian Man can be seen as the idealism of man, and such is translated to the phrase; deus ex machina, an event that is idealised in order to preserve the continuity of the story, however odd or absurd. You can also look up the the vitruvian man on wikipedia and get more in depth on it. Lastly, I didn't actually use brushes... its all just editing the levels of the original image and inverting it then the effect. only thing i could consider using brushes for is cleaning up some of the excess mess that was on the original image.
Planet photoshop In the tutorial the only difference between his end product and mine were the color and the text, so if you do it the way he does you should end up with something quite similar to what I got.
