    Last Stand

Last stand is an infection map in Sandboxes crypt. I made it, originally to prove to the community that a fun and exciting map doesn't NEED excessive merging.

The game is normally very fast paced as the zombies are almost invisible against the darkness of the map. It is important for humans to work as a team to survive, as a zombie can easily pick off those that've strayed from the group.

    Onto the pictures! :D

Conserve ammo! You start with only two extra clips for your AR. There is no ammo on the map, but there are some plasma pistols and magnums around the map to give you a small boost if you're desperate. The above also shows the amount of bullets needed to kill a zombie.

Spot the zombie! This is why you shouldn't go to the outside of the map. Zombies are invisible there. Survival is unlikely.

    Zombies

Zombies, as a general rule are VERY weak in this gametype. It only takes 5 AR shots to kill one. However, strength in numbers and stealth are HUGELY in their advantage. They also spawn all over the map, humans, keep a close watch, they can come from above and each of the corners!

    The corners:
I know, that doesn't sound very intimidating. Well:

(*note, I had to take this picture in forge as you can't see it from the centre in-game*)
I know what you're thinking: 'WTF! Overpowered much!?' but, troll, that's where you're wrong. You'll find that choppers aren't OP at all. The custom powerup traits are:
    Damage done - 0%
    Vechile driving - enabled
    Waypoint - visible to everyone
    Everything else - unchanged
So, those guns are goning to do absolutely nothing. However, splattering will be easy.
Humans - Plasma pistols will be your new best friend, when a chopper zombie appears.

    Spawns

^Zombie spawns. Zombies will ALWAYS start at the central layer.

If you still want to delete the FX I put them all in the middle of the crypt ;P

you have some cool ideas in there, but it looks like the map is reallyyyyyy open. I don't know if it favors the humans or zombies, but you could easily add some more geometry in there

The 'emptiness' favours no-one. If you imagine the 'infested' spawn zones as large circles of 'control' then the only place with no circle will be a thin band running in a circle around the structure. The emptiness is really to discourage zombie charging.

The map looks very interesting, but...there is not much placed on the map. I know for sure you have a lot of budget left. The entire "battlefield" is too open and empty and it seems that you only want people to camp in the middle. I would suggest putting something near the edges of the crypt such as a more powerful weapon or a good survival spot. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but there are 4 of those "chopper spawns" in the corners?

Looks like I didn't explain well enough before, so here's a picture!

The blue represents where the zombies spawn/attack you from and the red is where the humans normally end up defending. (sorry it's sideways. I did that on my iPod :p)
Also one of the main ideas of the map was to have no 'super' spot for the humans to hide and kill anything that moved. I left it open to try to achevie that, although a few more items towards the centre wouldn't hurt... I might start on a v.2 soon :S
Oh, and there's only two choppers, the other corners have normal spawns.
