I just recently went back to playing Halo 3 and I had determined that my BR is suckish agian. This post is here to ask if anyone is willing to help me find some good strafe techniques and other help with obtaining a better BR. If your gonna say practice by playing MLG or in customs dont even bother posting as it will make it easier to find the people who are willing to help me. Thanks! My only advice would be to play social matches. Strafing is something that people develop on their own. Having somebody show you how they strafe won't help. you just have to learn how far to strafe, etc. And getting a better BR goes the same way. I don't see why you care, since reach comes out fairly soon anyways.
Practice, practice, practice. That is the only advice anyone can give when it comes to improving your shot or strafe. At any rate, here are two threads with improving in mind from MLG. Want to get better? - MLG Forums Tips for the BR and Sniper - MLG Forums Reach has a much crisper strafe speed, and no aim acceleration, so it is almost pointless to learn these things again now though.
The thing is I don't really plan on getting Halo: Reach at all because I didn't really like the BETA.
lol youl get it once on reaches launch the population of halo3 is 10,000 people.......total lol also regarding getting better with a BR and strafing.......what? no one can help you with that lol NO ONE all someone could tell you is 1.Learn how far you have to Lead your shot's at different distances and speeds 2.Know these fact's 1. it does not take 4 headshots to kill, it takes 3 shots anywere on their body and then a headshot, which means dont bother aiming for their head all the time because it is unecessary and your just making it more difficult then it needs to be. 2. It takes 2 shots and a melee to kill in MLG but it takes 3 in normal settings This is all anyone can help you with. That goes for anything in halo in general. there is no best strafe, no perfect sensitivity, no magic aiming tutorial you can follow lol. Just try different stuff and see how it all works together.
