PARAMOUNT 2 - 10 Player Competitve Map Forged by BORG k79 Paramount is a symmetrical Structure Map that I have made on the main level of Sandbox. It plays best for Team Slayer and CTF Gametypes but I have set it up for all other modes. The way I have been trying to make maps lately is to have almost every area of the map traversable with very few unreachable areas. The huge Central Tower is scalable from every side. Four floating Grav Lifts will also get you to the top level of the Tower with an easy jump. Two Lifts lead up through the center of the Tower the other two are above the Choppers. I also wanted to have room under the Central Tower to allow vehicles to flow around the map. The vehicle count has come under scrutiny, but I think from the play testing, that all vehicles have their role to play. The Power Drainers are inside the lower level of each base, making driving any vehicle a gamble, as spawning enemies could toss it at you and your run is over. Instead of Choppers there used to be Ghosts in their place, but the Ghosts were too easy to control on the map and people were racking up kills left and right(FFA). The Choppers are also a good counter to the Warthogs in Team games, where as the Ghost is really no match for the Warthog. The Mongeese are there for a quick trip to the far base or to provide transport for the Attackers as they can grab the flag and carry it out the backside of the base for a sneaky get away. Seems pretty well forged, have you tested this map because there are quite a few vehicles placed on the map. I really do like the middle structure its similar to a map i was making a long time ago but i never finished it. The main thing is have you tested it it's just pretty hard to tell how gameplay would be, maybe take one chopper out and place it in the middle somewhere.
The vehicle placement is actually the exact same as the default sandbox. But yeah, did you test this map?
The map looks great however as the others said the number of vehicles may be an issue. Consider testing it if you have not yet.
I have play tested this map on several occasions, both for Team Slayer and 2 Flag CTF. The changes made included: -Getting rid of the 2 Sniper Rifles in each base and replacing them with BRs -Ghosts removed because they were too easy too control -Choppers added in place of Ghosts -Added Bubble Shields next to Chopper spawns -Removing weapons from the top level of the Central Tower The vehicles might seem over powering but with the Rocket Launchers and Power Drainers near to Team Spawning locations it never becomes too out of balance.
The maps amazing, but like every map, There is always a downside, for this one it's that there to is to many vehicles - the map has next to no open space for choppers, warthogs, and Mongooses.
