I think it would be cool if just like with the caption contest. Forge Hub would give us custom campaign contest's. They would be setup like this. (Name of Contest) Mission : Difficulty : Skulls : Player Max : Best Time/Score (or it could be a combination EX. get the highest score possible while still finishing the level in X minutes) This could either be a weekly thing...or. You guys could make a Forum for this with lots of different challenge thread's that only moderators can post. And then people can reply with their (theater) time and a link to the video. Then someone could check out the Best one posted and make sure he didn't cheat in any way. (that way you wouldnt have to watch all of them.) then the winner could be added to a FH Campaign Record's list. I think this would be sweet. It would kinda be like Reaches built in daily challenges and such except it would be a Competition amongst FH members only, but with no time deadline , so that if their ever bored they can just try to break the current record. PS: not sure if this should of went in Customer Services as a suggestion, but i saw another competition suggestion here, so whatev lol.
This sounds like a fun way to keep Campaign alive. We could definitely have weekly Firefight challenges and stuff, too!
It sounds fun, but would get old quickly. Not to mention it would bee really complicated. A single contest for the most epic film clip of campaign or firefight might be good but I'm sure the moderators have all that fun stuff planned already.
how would it get old? It's a List of Campaign records that people can try to beat whenever they feel like it. Your not forced to do this, so how could it get old? lol
This whole concept was already done. Ever heard of FireTeamZulu? They do this exact same thing for ODST, with campaign and firefight challenges, and they're doing the same in reach.
no actually i have never heard of them. Is it on forge Hub? if not then the whole purpose of this is to make it a Forgehub exclusive Campaign record.
I was refering to putting up a contest on the front page or something. The leaderboard idea might be fun, but alot of work for whoever moderates it. If you want to try by all means:
If i could run it myself i would......maybe. lol the way i was thinking of it though would require it to be a Sub-Forum and then each individual Record/Challenge would have its own thread for people to post their times. Im pretty sure all i can do is make threads. and just having one giant thread with people posting lots of diferent videos for lots of diffferent challenges would indeed be impossible to run.
