It seems like the map testing section is always kinda empty, and it's really hard to get a 4v4 game going on, even with the addition of people form my FL. Half the time, you get one or two responders..and you say thanks I need some more people..and you don't get them. It also seems like the more experienced forgers aren't necessarily there..and it's really nice to have a persons opinion who knows a lot about what they are talking about. I'm not shooting down the helpers who are in map testing, because they are great..yet it's just the number of people doesn't seem to be high enough. It's just I feel you have one chance to post a map (for that map) and it's gotta be perfect, because you don't want to make a bad first impression.
I sort of agree, but this should probably be in Customer Service. Half the time I don't bother getting testers from here, I just find them elsewhere. When I do find them, half the time they are people asking me to test THEIR maps (and-no offense to the people that did ask- all of the maps were VERY bad.)
Maybe we need a testers guild or something? Some cool special looking colorful name for people who are "expert" testers.
There is infact a testers guild. That is how I get all of mine. This is a list of people who applied and said that they would like to test out some of the maps, unfourtanetly like you said, these people are not "expert" testers, and the only way to get that is to be on the list of a veteran forger.(Another way I get testers). The gamertags are the FH TESTERGUILD and FH TESTERGUILD2 I believe.
Ah yeah I have seen the topics for a guild on the tester section, I didn't know there were accounts though, thanks. I guess it's less I need expert forgers, and more I need experienced players. I can tester for glitches and breaks my self, but I usually am worried my map doesn't play well. I can tell myself to a point, yet I may be biased..and I don't trust my friends to give me their personal opinion, because most time I feel they are just being nice not to hurt my feelings or something.
