I have two ideas for maps that are centered around the same premise and I want to hear your reaction

    The Premise:

I won't say that this is the most original idea out there, it has many similarities with the "Pirate Ships" game that came out years ago.

Here it is: as said in an earlier thread by me, I noticed in the forge world preview that you can put a hill for KotH on a warthog and drive it around. I'm wondering if you can put a territory on a vehicle too. If so, my idea involves putting two territory markers on two scorpion tanks for opposing teams. The object of the game would be to capture the enemy's territory with territory capture set to about 10 seconds and the round would end once one team has control of both territories. Here's where the concept gets split, I could make a mini-game out of this or a casual/competitive game. More details below.

Mini-game idea: "Gremlins on My Tank"

In this game players would be invisible while within the large radius of their territory/tank but visible and more vulnerable when away. They will spawn with a hammer to defend their tank with, and a plasma pistol for disabling the enemy tank. Of course any player can drive the tank or use the gunner. The tanks themselves are indestructible. The game would hopefully play out like this: both teams would drive their tanks at each other with teammates running along side them. The key is to kill all the enemies that are within their territory's borders and capture the enemy tank. Using the invisibility given to them, players will try to get close enough to the enemy tank to capture it or defend their own tank.

Casual/Competitive idea: "Tank Men on War Machine"

Like the mini-game idea stated above, the tanks would be indestructible and the territories would have the same capture time. However, the weapons would be the standard Halo Reach weapons and load-outs with other weapons and vehicles placed on the map for use. Players would not be invisible, however, being within your own territory's radius will give players extra damage modifier and resistance. The radius would be large, but not as large in the above mini-game. Game-play would require teamwork, with some players on offense and some on defense and at least 1 player on each team driving their tank.

So what do you think, which idea sounds better, or are they both awesome/awful?

    Sounds complicated
and Generally complicated = Takes more time to explain it in the pregame lobby then the amount of time people will actually enjoy it.

    I guess....it seems.....ok.....IDK lol
this gametype isnt really using the settings in any strange way that hasnt already been thought of, so in that regards theres not much to say.

I like them equally, and you should do them both in a map pack esque release, because they are kind of the same.

This also gave me a great idea for a minigame.

And if we can place flags on vehicles, You should do that, and the your teams tank as the plant point.

Glad you like it. I have also contemplated the idea of having a 1-sided or neutral assault gametype where the bomb plant point(s) is on a tank.
