DOWNLOAD works with the RACETRACKS gametype. Map Size: Medium/Small Recommended racers: Works best with around 3-6 racers, although works for up to 8. Consists of: Mostly terrain with a smooth 180 wallride and some jumps thrown in Difficulty: Medium, mostly off-chamber terrain which can rarely lead to flipping but any experienced racer should be able to naviaget the track with ease. This map was designed for tournament racing and it is fully bordered so by all means if you like the map feel free to use this in any tournament you would like. Run through: The map starts with a very short drop down into the track from the starting point, immediately the racer is thrust into a nice easy 180 degree banked turn followed by another short drop, then a swift 90 degree. The racer then hits the first jump in the map and lands in a large 180 terrain turn, this is a great area for over taking. The racer then drive uphill for about 5 seconds and then hits the second jump which is also the checkpoint. One more quad-wide off-chamber turn to go and the racer is back where he started. PicZorz: (I know you skipped to this part) Enjoy this map and race with friends to get the most out of the experience. Thanks, Josh Fox
Long time no speak mr fox. Looks pretty nice man, nice to see a race map using terrain as well as blocks. Im suprised you found the motivation to forge on halo 3 with reach just around the corner! i havnt touched forge for months now
It's a good-looking track, but you should've thought a little bit more about the name. "Pulp Friction" happens to be the name of a porno.
ORLY? I wouldn't know about porno names cuz I don't watch that crap but I'm sure he had no idea about it. the map looks great and it seems to utilize the terrain of avalanche very well. But where's the 180 wallride? I didn't see it in the pics.
This looks nice. Nice to see the time taken to interlock the bordering to make it look professional. 4/5. Looks like it would have good flow, but I always prefer to have a lot of sky and a bit of terrain but it looks like a great track anyways
So I stole Pulp Friction from you when you were idle yesterday, and decided to have a playtest. Overall, I was impressed. It's not often that tracks are made to complement the natural terrain on halo 3's maps, so PF was definitely a different experience. The box banked turn blended perfectly into the flow of the track, as did the jumps. The 180 turn after jump 1 felt like it slowed me down too much, but then again it slows everyone down. Overall, I would definitely give this map a download. It's a nice change from the hours of banks, banks, banks that the race forum shows off these days, and I hope maps like Pulp Friction will revive terrain tracks when Reach ships next week.
