instead of saving changes. It seems I first start a map, can save changes alot, than have to start saving as new maps. Even when I load up say *map name* 022..it will be 1 or 2 save changes..and than a save as new map. This is a problem for me because I am always running close to 100 CC, and sometimes am at 100 and do not realize it.
I've noticed this once too, but luckily I don't have anywhere close to 100 CC. The only thing I can think of is delete the older version and replace the newer version name with the name you wanted it. I think it's Bungie's way of frustrating us further, lol.
It happens when you S&Q, or sometimes when you first fire up your xbox. The game doesn't recognize your current map as existing in your library, so it asks you to "save new" map when that happens. Its a glitch that I run into A LOT, and I found out how to fix it: 1. When you first turn on your xbox, sometimes this happens. To prevent this, I always choose the map from my saved map list, instead of letting the game load up the last forged map (usually the one I want to work on). This allows the game to see you as choosing a map that is in your library, because sometimes the game gets confused. Another lame glitch, I know. 2. This happens less often after a S&Q, but I choose the map from the library anyways to avoid any complications. It has never happened within a forge session after I had the option to "save changes." That is new to me. As long as I don't end the game, I will always have the option to save the changes, and the game will not force me to save a new map. --dc
I'm pretty sure it's because when your Xbox loads, it, it wants to load up from the cache, or recent played maps. Which is more like RAM, so it wants to save, because by default, it won't save to there.
A Dumb Cat is definitely correct, this happens to me a lot because I shut down my Xbox and go back to it quite frequently. I just go to the map I want and select it,even if it was the last map that I loaded up and it's still in the startup screen. That's the only way I know of to avoid this problem.
System Latency issues Same thing causes all your maps to be saved as Blam! no matter what you name it.
