REFULGENCE V2 FFA 1-6 players(can hold 8), 1v1-3v3 TS and Oddball Hello everyone once agian. This is my last map that I will be releasing for Halo 3. I contimplated if I should have this map or not due to the lack of downloads and acknowledgment for my last map Spire. Although I figured different map, different style, different outcome...or so I hope. Anyways this is the 2nd version of a mapI made a while ago and it has improved much. Everything from bumps to room designs hav been redone. All the rooms are much larger and smoother and it's nicer to look at as well. The main part that has undergone a lot of work would haveta be the lower level. There were some areas in the map that I had to delete becuase I simply didnt have enough objects to do it seeing as this isa compltly enclosed map. Well enough of that here are the pictures. The central room AKA camo spawn. Flooring in the slanted room or bubble sheild spawn. (For some reason this pic came out dark but its nicely lit in game) Looking at man cannon lift and drop down zone. Even better than the first. The aesthetics are stil top notch and the new editions are fantastic. When playing 2v2, I did notice some problems. It seemed like the camo and rockets spawned way too fast. We also found some breaks, but I think B3NW is going to get more detailed with that when he posts. Also, you can still get on top of the tube piece structure.
MUCH of a step-up from V1. I like the added cover, structures and overall layout. Looks awesome. V1 was a very good 2v2 map. And a pretty good FFA map too. I will DL and get back to you. V1 : 8.5/10 V2 : ???
It looks good, i played it and its good to play, but the active cammo respawns way to fast. And there is 1 thing that really bothers me, I can't reach the hand rail, no im kidding . Well done!
Ya know, this certainly isn't bad, but it's got its fair share of problems, and I'm really disappointed that you didn't take anyone's advice in order to fix those problems. It seems like you didn't want to put the effort in to fix some really basic problems. Also, I'm still upset that you have a tendency to steal structures that you like from pretty much every interesting map you see. The floor from Urban's map, the Gunnergrunt column/my red column, Phenom's hand rail, Vyctoriouz's doorway, so on and so forth. I wouldn't be as upset if you had asked to use some of those things, but completely ripping ideas from other people's unfinished maps just isn't cool. In terms of gameplay, I can't believe you didn't change the teleporters! They're still just how they were before. And two way nodes with that sort of setup just don't work well. Myself and others gave you plenty of ways to fix the flow problem that the teleporters create, and it seems like you didn't even put the effort in to try out those ideas. I'm saying the map is bad, it really isn't. I just know that it could be so much better.
