hello forgehubbers today i bring you my second map!!!!! called bumper bashers formally known as spaghetti. this map features a quick paced bashing of bumpers on not 1 but 3 levels of platform. and a very convenient set of grav lifts that let you get to the starting platform with an added back-flip for fun! this map isn't perfectly made but its not always the ascetics that matter is it. this map is extremely fun and very replayable me and my friends cant play it enough. sadly the pictures dont express it very well. but this is possibly my fav map pictures time close to the edge action attack now for the flips! please download here http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=116747540 the gametype here (its got a random name!)Bungie.net : Halo 3 File Details
How is scoring determined? KotH style? Slayer style? None? I've always been a fan of lava pits, and it looks small enough not to become the center of the game, but still maintain a presence. First impressions? 7/10.
I have seen many of these type of maps and have always liked to play on them. But I really don't see a way you have made this your own map. I mean it is a different map itself but the game play is still really the same. Anyway I think it will still be fun to play with my friends that still actually play Halo.
Alright, I had the pleasure of getting to play this map, with its creator no less, and, to be honest, I was disappointed. Appearance: Though the overall shape is an interesting choice, it isn't the best in actuality. Ramps, such as the ones to the gravity lifts, are hard to see while in a vehicle. There are visible cracks and uneven surfaces between blocks that would be even more obvious while on foot. 6/10 (C+) Map Play: A little too small for my tastes, with too many sharp turns. The gravity lifts are unreliable and may be your only option to get back up. Most bothersome is, as is common in monster truck games, the warthogs dominate. Its one thing to have them available on the map, its quite unfair that certain players start next to them. The ghosts' maneuverability and speed are actually a handicap due to the extremely cornered map. Maybe add a bit more curved edges instead of a deadly corner. To be fair, you did try to add some complexity with the multilevel gameplay and the grav-lift jumps. I recommend playing a round of HogtheHill or BlackHole. I can send you a link to those files if you want to try and use them to improve this. 5/10 (C) Gametype: I don't understand why people continue to use Slayer for Monster Truck matches. I think it would be a heck of a lot more accurate to use King of the Hill to track who survives at the end (ie, 1 point for Uncontested Hill, 0 points for contested, 1 point to win, area encompasses map), As is, the numbers are arbitrarily assigned and final winner is often only the winner of that round. 6/10 (C+) Miscellaneous: From the sound of it, you're pretty young still and have a lot of talent down the road. You've also shown a willingness to take criticism and improve upon your map. That's pretty rare for a lot of forgers. Your ideas are good, just work with them a little more. 8/10 (B+) Final: 6.25 (C+)
