This is not the absolute final version of this map, but i think it is time for a preview! It will support (2v2)One-ball and also (3v3) slayer. These are the only gametypes i could use due to too many items on the map But, now for the pictures! It looks very nice. Nothing too radically different aside from the star (which looks great) but I'll have to see how it plays when you post it. Looking forward to this one.
Well first, thank you both for responding. I'm VERY new to posting maps (wish I posted some a long time ago on my old account now), so I'm just glad for any feedback at all. @cartoonwolf, there is a download link if you want to try out the map early, haha. And to be honest, I'm not exactly sure how well the gameplay works out yet, I just sent it to the testers guild tonight(as skisma mentioned). I wish more people still played halo3 @skisma yeah I just posted it there tonight can't wait to here what others think of it!
I'm definately going to try this out in the TG. The layout, judging by the pictures looks good, the only thing i'd want to see is some color (red/blue lights). Sandbox maps tend to look bland without them.
I was originally going to add red and blue lights, but because of the amount limit, I would either lose two respawn points for red and blue lights. Or somehow find a way to gain two more objects I could place
Maybe just one blue light in the center area. It would help make your already great looking map look even better. Do you have any dual-wield weapons on the map? You could possibly get rid of one of those.
I was just trying to delete some objects to leave room for the blue and red lights i had originally planned and i made space for one. I have to find small objects next to eachother that i can combine into one, i think the easiest reference i can make of this is delete two large boxes, and place one boxdouble where they were, this gives me one more object i can place.it's too bad i didnt use too many small objects, haa! oh and i didnt have any space to begin with for duel weapons so i didnt have any of those.and i have deleted all the second sticky grenades in the sticky grenade sets i had placed, this might also balance the map alittle more.i can't delete any respawn points because there are so few of them on the map already
I think if you can get around $100, you can have someone budget glitch the map for you. That way you get the spawns and weapons free. Also, in the first picture there is a wedge large that you might be able to replace to save items. Just suggestions though.
Yeah i saw that when i was trying to fix it earlier, idk if you can see it from the picture, but underneith of that wedge large is a wall T, and under that wall T is another wedge large.(i think this what you were talking about), and i can delete the two wedge larges, and then shift the existing wedge large downward to where the bottom wedge is, and then plae another wall T or double box or wall double to completethat wall, Thanks i didnt think of that earlier! too bad i cant get on my xbox at the moment, i might be able to fix that later tonight or tomorrow.also in that little room in the dead center of the first picture the back's floor is made of block talls. and i can replace a few of those with block huges.just realised that too.pictures are amazing.haha
