I'll get a picture of my setup later when I find my phone, as of now check out my guitars. G&L Tribute Invader and a Gretsch. The other ones aren't worth showing, neither are my amps.

As in genres? Anything, really, as long as its well written and isn't annoyingly repetitive.

I own a drum set and a guitar, in which I don't play the guitar and haven't played it since I got it. However, I try to play my drums daily or at least whenever I have free time, since it's one of my biggest stress relievers and it's just overall something I really enjoy doing.

Here is my Ibanez guitar in which I don't play:

    And my drum set.

It's a 5-piece Royce drum set, with included crap high hats, crap crash and stand, all the hardware, and drum seat, included. I no longer have the crap crash since I've upgraded it to a Sabian 18 inch Xplosion Crash and added on a Sabian AAX 20 inch Stage Ride Cymbal.

The Crash and Ride with respective stands totaled 500, in which that alone is $200 more than the entire drum set, due to it being a beginner kit. Eventually when I get a job I hope to start upgrading piece by piece.

Someone recommend me some good parts for a kit that'll make for a good, clean sound for jazz and hip-hop beats, and preferably their costs.

I got this lovely piece of equipment today. It's my Microkorg synth and vocoder, and it has a lot of stuff to do, just messing around with the vocorder is cool though. Eventually I'll start doing some real stuff with it, me and my friend want to start a two person band (me keys and vocals, him percussion).

    My drum kit:

It's a ddrum dominion maple kit in Anaheim orange (love this baby, :p) The rims on mine are a matt black aswell, not the standard chrome.

    My double pedals:

Pearl demon-drive eliminator doubles. So smooth to play on.

I also have about $3000 worth of cymbals which i wont go into detailing lol.

Total cost of kit = Roughly $4500 or so,

I have guitars and stuff, it's not like I can't add them, I just prefer keys, I'll see, like I said, I just got it today.

What brand(s) do you have? And what heads on the drums, if they aren't the defaults? Cool kit by the way.

I prefer Zildjian over Sabian, and I like Remos too.

I'm thinking of getting an electric set for practice (and practicality, considering I don't live alone), but I don't know what brand.

Dare I go and photograph my various rigs, guitars and effects? :p

Needless to say, I have a hefty insurance policy out on my gear ...

    Fender Highway 1 American Strat
    [IMG]
    - Sunburst
    - Rosewood Neck
    - Custom Relic
    - Single Coils have been replaced with Seymour Duncan humbuckers
    - Three-way selector drilled right where the 5-way should be (still has the 5-way slot on the pickguard)
    - 1 Master volume and 2 coil-tapping tone controls
    - Two-way signal On-Off toggle switch.

    Fender 70's Reissue Tele Custom
    [IMG]
    - Sunburst
    - Maple Neck
    - All parts stock aside from a 3-way signal On-Off-On hummingbird toggle switch.

    Fender Custom Shop Strat
    [IMG]
    - Arctic White
    - Rosewood Neck
    - HEAVY Relic
*This is a pic of the actual guitar, but it now has a tortoiseshell pickguard*

    50's Reissue Telecaster
    [IMG]
    - White Blonde (best Fender colour)
    - Maple Neck
    - All Parts stock (as picture)

Thats just the main guitars I use, not including my other guitars and acoustics ... effects is a bigger, more intricate list ... i'll update in a bit with it.

As for amps, I use a Fender HotRod Deluxe (1x12) fitted with Cryogenically treated specialist tubes and valves, with an exact matching Fender HotRod Cab (1x12) which is fitted with an original 1979 Fane Rockdriver speaker, but i also have 4 other cabs with various original vintage speakers in.

And i've recently aquired a Vox AGA amp for the new acoustic band i'm in. Its amazing, and absolutely tiny.
