Throughout the Forerunner-Flood War, countless monuments took their place beneath these starry skies.
    6-12 players.

    Background:

Testament isn't particularly bashful about it's primary focus; built around a large, two-story hill, with rising towers about the perimeter, the map centers itself on all out, Mosh-pit style King-of-the-hill games. But while the core of Testament appears a built-up, fortified construct, the map doesn't end there; outside the walls of the central hill, the sloped fortifications give way to the barrens of the Sandbox plane, where the curious player can find access to the Crow's Nests, Banshees, and, if you're so inclined, a few Beam Rifles too.

Testament has actually been more or less finished for quite some time, but has sat on my hard-drive collecting dust. However, with the community's attention turning to Halo: Reach, I figured that it's time was now or never. It is with great pride that I now present it to the Forgehub Community.

I think this looks like a very good map. The only thing is, why do you have banshees if you have 2 missile pods? The banshies will just get shot down the moment the take off. Other than that it looks like a pretty good map, I especially like how you didn't use any interlocking that I can see. Today, too many people focus on the aesthetics.

I agree with him, id say have two banshees but one misle pod in the center making that a weapon that is needed, kinda like vhalla, 2 banshees but one laser.

Outher than that this looks rally good! And you have my download!

I'd download, but unfortunatly for me, 100 maps on my drive is enough for bungie. I file shared it, however, you know, to play it temporarily. I kind-of liked the missile pod idea, but i'm pretty sure that's only because I shot down 13 or so banshees that game. LOL. And yes, today even I have to spend an extra 2.5 hours on interlocking just to get the downloads... Good job Moxus, I'd do my N00bs 4ever war cry, but then I saw you weren't a rookie... I'll do it anyhow. N00bs together, now and forever!!!! -Flamingo Out.

Thanks very much for the feedback guys! The Banshee is an interesting variable; Even though I don't have game-play pictures, I have done some testing with pervious versions of Testament. During these tests, I found that because of the crowded skylines above the map, a Banshee could easily evade the missile pods by staying low to the towers and walls. However, it does take some degree of thought on the part of the pilot not to try to outrun the missiles, but instead to use the structures of the map. That thought separates the good pilots from the bad, and forms the actual game-play counter to the Banshee.

To answer any concerns about the Banshee's ability to dominate the map, the same towers and walls it can use to hide behind also keep it in check; because the Banshee is always moving forward, the cramped sight lines of the map make it difficult to really hammer anyone who isn't on the central hill, the barrens, or the crow's nests.

Again, Thanks very much folks. If I can answer any more questions, or if you have recommendations, I'd be happy to hear them.
