So from the rumors floating around recently, bungie was supposed to make an announcement of a new area in forge world or a new map on forgeworld or something today. does anyone know the status of that rumor?
Yes i've heard of it and it seems plausible because IGN released some pictures of Reach yesterday. In one of those pictures there is a picture of what looks like to be a new forgeworld. But nothing was announced today
Looks like it could be part of forge world, though it's also possible that it's part of the campaign.
In the current game released to reviewers (and hackers) there is no other forgeworld. No source due to leaks.
Hasn't bungie said that that copy of Reach on the marketplace isn't the full copy? so maybe Bungie didn't put anything secret related onto that
nah its the full copy. its just that bungie has told us everything, save for a few maps and obviously campaign.
I'm sure Bungie wouldn't tell us EVERYTHING, they would still want us to find their ``secrets/Easter eggs`` I'm hoping that this rumor is true though!!
If there is a new forge area, I hope it has a different terrian then the known grazzy areas of forgeworld.
It definantly won't be another forge world, but possibly another area in it. After all, the forge world we know right now is one half of an island.
Well there's still the unanswered question of what map is in that screenshot. I'm not totally convinced, but it does look like it could be part of Forge World. Forerunner structures, grey cliffs and mountains and bright blue skies. Most other maps set on Reach have red and brown cliffs. Unless of course those are human buildings which just happen to look like forerunner structures an that blue sky matches the one seen out of the window in the screenshot of Sword Base also shown in that image. I mean, compared to all the other final maps, the Sword Base we saw in the Beta was really small. Perhaps there's an outside area?
Guys, sorry to disappoint but the rumour about a new forgeworld is bogus. Considering it was not thought possible to undertake this kind of construction orginally, it is highly unlikely they made another one especially considering the time frame bungie constantly refer to. I reckon we'll get a new one sometime next year via DLC but I think I'll be entertained enough with this one for now.
