I've been sketching this for the past week inbetween soccer practices every day. I plan on it being an MLG map but really anything can happen to it. Any feedback is appreciated. I can post more pictures if anyone wants, but those 4 give you a good idea of the map. I'll edit the pictures as I change the map. I do not know where I am going to build this on forge world yet. I'm not going for looks yet because I don't know what other objects there are so I will just wait for the game to come out to make it look good. I'm working on making the ground floor and the two mini bases in the corners. This map is a 3 base.
Yeah looks pretty decent, got some good height variation and alright L.O.S's but let me tell you, theres going to be literally thousands of maps made like this in the first few weeks after the 14th. Its definately lacking something original/unique but that doesn't mean its a throw-away, just that you need to think up some kind of stucture thats eye-catching aswell as functional.
Thats true, but without a complete set of components or knowing the rest of the objects, I will have to wait on the eye catching part until the game comes out. Right now, I just need to focus on it being able to play well (or in this case, looking like it will play well). I still haven't even figure out where I'm gonna build this and it probably won't stay like this. Thanks for the input though.
Looks pretty good to me, lots of ramps to the upper levels, which is very important. Kinda reminds me a bit of The Pit crossed with Onslaught. The ground floor looks a little uninspired though. Also, are you going to build this in the sky, or use some of the existing map geometry to make it more interesting?
Looks pretty good, but if you want it to be a MLG map, my suggestion is make it symmetrical. You don't have to, but its what I would do. The overall review is that is it a pretty good lookin' map. And do you think you could add pics at an inside view of the bases.
I'm still working on the ground floor. I'm not sure what I want to do with it yet. And I have no clue where I am building this yet. It is symmetrical. Its basically a 3 base map. Theres one giant base which is easy to see, and two extremely uninspired mini bases in the opposite corners which will be changed eventually. This is only meant to play team slayer on right now.
Why the name liquid? I don't really see any reason for the name. Nothing look fluid, just angles and boxes?
May I suggest you build it 5-10 feet above water with support columns going into the water so that it better relates to its name?
